4 phone calls so far to resolve what I would describe as a simple issue. I did not find their people earger to help and just repeating scripts over and over instead of going above and beyond to help. Then my account placed on hold for in error for apparently no reason. I feel it was spiteful.

I called their toll free number and asked for the direct number to the Damariscotta Branch, and they refused to give it to me! They said I had to be "verified" first, and that they "don't usually give out the numbers to local branches." Every time I call them they give me such a runaround. All I want is copies of the statements, that we never received or can't find. It's unfortunate they make the smallest request so difficult. We stopped banking with them because of their security walls, can't get any answers to anything unless you are a "signatory" on the account. I am the bookkeeper, and there is no way for me to get information unless I am a signatory? That makes no sense.

Bangor Savings Bank has been very consistent in all aspects but also very highly rated in my opinion. The availability of being wheel chair accessible , having extended drive thru hours on week days ,and kind Friendly knowledgeable employees and management has always been a great reason to bank here. The parking is ample and close to entrances. The Saturday hours and drive thru hours differ between branches and season .I wish more branches had extended hours or drive thru hours on Saturdays. I highly recommend Bangor Savings Bank to everyone -; it has a personal touch that many do not.

Friendly staff at branches and very flexible with fees but frustrating app because it doesn't show all withdrawals and has taken up to a week for a bill to come out account messing up my budgeting. Also, app is always down for service every night for hours.

Requested mortgage finance information. Got 1 call from David Smallwood. Gave him my SSN and never heard back. Called and spoke to him briefly and he said he'd get back to me. 2 weeks ago. Must be super busy and important. Don't waste your time.

"You DON'T Matter More" Let me start off by saying that I am mortified at the treatment I have received from certain individuals within Bangor Savings Bank. I have had EXCEPTIONAL service from countless tellers, loan officers, and managers within BSB, but what has happened to me just weeks prior to Christmas is VASTLY different from my previous experiences... A brief background on me: I am a young professional with 8 years experience in the medical field and with a newly started (and thus far successful) Maine based small business. My troubles started approximately 2 weeks ago (Beginning of Dec. 2017) After having my card shut off without warning. I called Bangor Savings Bank [the bank I have used for well over a decade] to see what the issue was with my card. A polite young lady I spoke with informed me that there was "suspicious activity" on my account. After discussing the nature of my transactions (in the span of a few weeks I had to make multiple deposits as well as had to write multiple checks for my business. Side-note: this NEVER overdrew my account.), I was assured that everything was fine and that my account was in good standing. 2 weeks later, I receive a "Termination of Banking Relationship" letter from Hammond Street Assistant Branch Manager; Krystal Trott. I find it ironic that the cordial and polite woman whom I spoke with on the phone... A.) Shut off my card without as much as an initial courtesy phone call B.) Assured me that my account was in good standing, prior to sending a Termination Letter. Word to the wise for small business owners. Save yourself the headache and find a bank or credit union who doesn't practice dishonesty and deceit. I will gladly be switching ALL of my accounts out of Bangor Savings Bank.
