At Alamo Rental in Bangor Maine Airport. Been waiting an hour for our car which we had reserved. Still about another hour wait. Enterprise, the same thing. Worst prepared I have ever seen. Ridiculous! Everyone waiting is very frustrated.

If I could select a negative number I would. Traveled from Florida to Maine with a confirmed & paid reservation only to be met with my vehicle was unavailable. Ok, crap happens, I understand. BUT, the lower class of vehicle is NOT going to cost the same in taxes/fees as the luxury class i reserved. I've already paid through Allegiant (won't do that again ever) and Alamo will not make this right. Yes, I will acknowledge they did offer me a higher luxury vehicle AND expected me to pay accordingly (means more in taxes/fees). Yet, when it comes to downgrading, isn't it logical the cost would be less? Inquiring minds.

We recently rented a car from Alamo, picking it up at the Bangor, Maine airport. When we got to the counter at the airport, it was a disaster. Even though we had a car reserved, it took 2 hours to get a car. Everyone had to wait as long as we did. We were told that they were cleaning the cars and preparing them for the next customer, but only had one person doing it, so we all needed to wait. That was unacceptable, and we would not rent from them again after that experience.

This location is horrible. I rented a car back in June. I filled the gas tank completely full within a mile of the location and all of a sudden in August they charged my credit card for an unknown reason. I have tried to ask for a verification of the charge in form a receipt and the location is impossible to reach by phone. I had to call the Headquarters of Alamo and they said it was a fuel charge which is a fraudulent charge because I have receipts that I returned it with a full tank of gas. I was told that the charge would be removed within 24 hours. That was a false promise. I called again and they said it would be removed in 24 hours. Again another lie. This is a known fraudulent charge for rental car scams with unethical managers and employees that profit from fake charges. I have yet been sent a formal credit card receipt which is against the federal Consumer Protection Act.It's been 4 days of waiting for the "24 hour" resolution.I would caution any traveler from out-of-town to rent from Alamo from the Bangor Maine location. They are deceptive.

We were a little frustrated that our rental car was not ready at the time we reserved it. However, the agent, Rena, was the friendliest rental car agent I think I've ever met. We got the car about 30 minutes later. The car was very nice and the rental parking lot at the Bangor Airport is right across the street, so it was very convenient.

Love the rental place at Bangor airport. They give you the keys to the vehicle and you pick it from the slot number mentioned and return it as is in any spot available and drop keys off if they are closed when you come back. Quick and no travel needed as it is next to baggage claim in the terminal.

Reserved a car, had a confirmation number, arrived to pick it up and was told there was no car available. They had the reservation, but they did not have the car. A Seinfeld episode come to life! Will NOT use Alamo again.

They terminated my reservation and left me stranded at airport because their credit card reader was not able to read the magnetic strip on my card and they don't have a chip reader or the ability to enter cards manually.
