Liked it so much last summer that I came back this year. Location and friendly atmosphere can't be beat.
I am very nervous about traveling in my power wheelchair. Room 1 works really well for me while still being stylish and avoiding the institutional feel of some accessible spaces.
**accessibility details**
Love the roll in shower and bathroom also has a standard bathtub with seat. Bed has space underneath which can be handy for travelers bringing a hoyer lift or other equipment.

Quintessential coastal Maine motel -- and I believe, the only hotel on Bailey with proximity to Cedar Beach AND a sparkly clean pool right outside your room. (I think we had the pool all to ourselves every time we went!) The room worked nicely for our family of four -- two doubles and a futon that folds flat, a kitchenette and pull-up access for easy car-to-room hauling. The place keeps it's old school Americana motel charm, but has been refreshed with new paint and furnishings, crisp new bedding and good (working!) temperature controls. The Bailey Island Motel is one our favorite summer traditions.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bailey Island Motel. The room was cute and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a sitting area with a small fridge and microwave. The staff was friendly, and it was a nice touch that there were small bags of ice and bottles of water available outside the office, along with Adirondack chairs outside each room . We do wish the water pressure had been better in the shower and a full length mirror had been in the room. We would definitely stay there again.

The motel was very clean and as advertised. Pool was clean and cold! The room included a microwave a fridge and a coffee maker including coffee and creamer! Bottled water was also provided outside the office daily which was a nice added bonus. Staff was friendly and the stay was very enjoyable.

Very cute room. Everything was cozy, comfortable and close to restaurants. Nice deck and pool (which we did not use but we did have a great view of them from our room). Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Super clean and comfortable! The property is well maintained and everything from the colorful Adirondack chairs outside each room to the refreshed room interior was a delight. The A/C was effective and very welcome in the July heat--as was the lovely outdoor pool. The outdoor deck and seating was a welcome addition as well! The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed in the area before and the Bailey Island Motel is far and above the best option in the area. We'll be back!

Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located! The updated, spacious rooms are just right for a quick getaway to this beautiful section of Maine. The well-maintained property also has a deck in the back, where there are several tables with umbrellas available for use, along with some gas grills. We also appreciated the pool, which was cool and clean — very refreshing on a hot summer day! The staff was very friendly and responsive. Close proximity to great restaurants, sights, and recreational spots. If you’re looking to stay in the Bailey Island area, the Bailey Island Motel in your best bet!

Our room, the parking lot, the pool, the deck were all very clean. The location is close to everything we wanted like the Giant Stairs, Cedar Beach, Land’s End, the wharf, the Salt Cod Cafe, the Dolphin and even going to Brunswick to golf was a nice ride. The motel employees and other guests were very friendly as are the townspeople. Bailey Island is a favorite spot for us so we will be back! Thank you for providing us a nice place to stay.

Service & rooms very nice. Location is off the beaten path...which is great but not a lot of restaurants open during the week and the farmers markets I'm used to are much larger in Warren ME.

I got married on Bailey Island and worked with Mindy to get room blocks for my guests. Not only was Mindy a delight to work with, but our guests loved staying at The Bailey Island Motel. The motel was just remodeled in 2022 and our guests were happy that all of their rooms had a sitting area and kitchenette with new and updated furniture. The Motel is in an excellent location that is walkable to everything the island has to offer: public beach, multiple restaurants, and scenic overlooks.

My fiance and I stayed at the remodeled Bailey Island Motel during Memorial Day weekend. The island was just beginning to "buzz" so we were able to enjoy the calm and soak in the sights. Mindy and Jeff were excellent hosts and it is clear that they thought about every single aspect of this remodel; from the outdoor furniture to the shower curtains not a spot was missed. The air conditioning was perfect for cooling the day and we left the windows open at night for the ocean breeze. With a remodel, comes a renewed aesthetic making this 90's girl swoon giving "The Jetsons" meets Drive-In Theater vibes. Theres ample grilling space and so many tables for outside eating. The road the motel is on is very walkable and its a short morning coffee walk to the beach and light stroll to the general store. Be sure to check out the on-site shop too, there are lots of treasures you wont find anywhere else. Do Not Pass This Place Up!
