I stopped by the Augusta Maine post office for a passport appointment. First of all, the employees there were very helpful assisting me with navigating the online glitch to establish the appointment. And during the appointment they were very helpful walking me through the entire process. I highly recommend this location for any passport needs.

Iv called the direct line many times and it just rings and rings and if you call the other number it's just a bot that takes you in circles if you don't wanna work don't take the job as simple as that and the ones that don't wanna work should be let go

Worst service ever. Always lose my client payments. Junk is always delivered. One payment 45 days to be delivered. One totally lost. Client had to cancel and I went and picked it up. Now one that should of been here last Friday. A week overdue. In my experience that means never going to arrive. Every excuse in the book, but ends up so sorry too bad, etc. Avoid at all cost this post office.

Full service post office in the middle of town. Plenty of parking in the back and convenient drop boxes if you have mail ready to go but don't need to go inside. This is also a federal office building housing FBI, social security, and others. If you get lost the many guards on duty can direct you. Don't be put off by the view from the street, there is ample parking and handicap entrance on State Street side. You just can't see them from Western Avenue.

Very rude people, my mail hasn’t been delivered for over a week. I have a check from work, it was supposed to be delivered Friday, it’s now Tuesday night. Hands down the worst post office I’ve ever experienced.

They don’t want to help anyone so you will hear an annoying bot the entire time until they hang up on you no matter what number you press or what kind of help you need. You won’t speak to a real person. The USPS is the worst mailing system and carriers you will ever deal with. I will be reporting their service and maybe one day our tax dollars will provide us with responsible mail service. Trust me, you will regret calling or dealing with them no matter you say or do.

Have been mailing a lot of packages here for years. The employees here are really helpful and nice. I go to a bunch of different post offices. This one is the most efficient post office I've utilized.

These folks at 40 Western Ave are the laziest of all the post office workers in Augusta. They never answer their phone and sit on people's packages instead of delivering them. Just disgraceful.

Pretty sure the mail person only came on my road twice last week, and now it's been 3 days since they've been on my road. I've had a package "out for delivery" for those 3 days. Ridiculous.

Im not sure who I spoke with but she was the rudest lady ever. I started off trying to explain what was wrong and she cut me off basically saying she dosnt care and just wants the tracking number, then she finds that my package is there and tells me it will get delivered when they get to it, I ask when that may be and she says I don’t know you want me to go search for it because I can’t, I said you’ve had an attitude since you started talking to me not even letting me get a word out. I understand the post office might be understaffed we all are that doesn’t mean you can’t be nice and do you’re job help someone the most you can but no. And it’s also confusing how they can deliver multiple other packages of mine so short staffed but then there’s just 2 that oh you can’t find them because you’re short staffed it’s just crazy to me. You’re job it to get people there packages and when someone pays almost 20 dollars for fast shipping they don’t expect it to get lost in the post office and then get told there not sure when you will get it.

Called multiple times just to be hung up on. Not to mention still haven’t gotten a package that was apparently out for delivery on 12/9 and still haven’t received it and it’s not 12/13 but has stated it’ll be delivered everyday after the 9th and nothing. Also not getting my mail delivered to my house since the ninth even though it shows on informed delivery that I’ve gotten mail everyday just apparently not into my mailbox.
