Gary Mitchell in Augusta is the best. He has helped to get me and my husband out numerous times. The team there is great to work with. We wouldn't even think about going anywhere else! Thank you for all you do for us.

I bought my car here; Signed up with your financing and paid it off with zero missed payments. I have taken it here for regular service and inspection since. I am about to trade in and buy a new vehicle as this one is getting to about 100K.In March, I brought by car in for an inspection.I also asked to have the cabin air filter changed, the oil changed and a basic multipoint inspection for any impending issues. After the initial state inspection, I was told that one of the rear brake lights wasn't working.I told them to fix it.I come pick up the car and move in with my life.In mid-August someone tells me that my car is way past it's inspection sticker date....I call Darlings and say "someone forgot to put an inspection sticker on my car."Your agent looks up the job, notes that the inspection found the brake light problem. But, there was no corrective action on the invoice.I assure the agent that I told them to fix it and it never was. They schedule for me to drop off my car for ANOTHER inspection (cause it's been beyond the legal 30 days) at a super inconvenient time...although not as inconvenient as getting pulled over and getting a ticket.I am now told I have to pay hundreds of dollars for a ball joint and the brake light seemed to magically fix itself.I talked to three agents so far. All of them refuse to believe anything but the lack-of-information in the invoice. I assure them that I asked to have the brake light fixed when they called to inform me (pretty standard stuff). The only response I get is for them to re-explain the 30 day window for state inspections.... Each of your agents refuse to acknowledge that there was a mistake made. Each of your agents refuse to do ANYTHING about follow up other than explain the situation I'm in at the moment. In fact, I was told by two of them that THEY personally weren't involved in inspecting the car. So, they're not the ones to complain to....implying that I have to somehow chastise the individual mechanic or person I talked to in March for dropping the ball rather than just holding "Darlings" responsible.I'm not looking for a free ball joint. The inspection was free already because I bought the car there. So, I'm not even looking for a free inspection. But, I'm not even getting an apology. I'm getting "there's no way we can determine the truth of the matter from our paperwork and therefore we are neutral...not placing blame and not providing any customer service to alleviate."This is terrible customer service to a loyal customer. Within the next two years, I'll be replacing two vehicles. I NOT be buying them from Darlings. I will not be servicing my vehicles at Darlings. Everyone I hear mention the the word "car" will suddenly get a story of how unbelievably crappy an experience I had with Darlings. Maybe you don't care because I don't spend enough money. But, if you were an honest and fair shop, you should.

I brought my 2017 dodge ram in for steering issues to which I found recalls on several years and models from 2016 through 2019. I was told my vin number was not on the recall list. But was told the steering arm that is being recalled is the same in my truck as others being recalled. I asked several times why some are being recalled but mine was not. The service rep said he didn’t know. Needless to say I will not be doing business with dodge products again if this is the kind of service I am going to receive. Kevin Osborne

Paul Watson was my sales guy at Darlings Hyundai in Augusta. I picked out the vehicle I wanted online, Paul was great through the whole process. He kept in touch with ETA to the dealership, was very thorough showing me all the bells and whistles of my new SUV. The paperwork process was quick and easy! Paul definitely has a repeat customer now. And, I will be referring family and friends. I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Tucson N Line and to say I’m obsessed with my purchase is an understatement!! Go see Paul for all your car needs. He’s experienced and knowledgeable!

Was shopping around trading my vehicle in, and while we didn’t come to a deal, the sales manager was very professional in his delivery of my offer and the reason for it.I then bought a truck private sale, and was greeted with a starter issue. The service team helped me try and diagnose it to get back on the road but we determined the starter failed and it needed a tow. They helped me organize the tow truck, got the starter covered under warranty, and did some additional maintenance for me that I requested. The work was done in a timely manner, and the cost was very reasonable! The sales manager even helped me get the window sticker for my truck so I could see all the options and such considering I bought it privately and didn’t get one!Aaron in service was awesome, and the sales manager Jason D. was fantastic to work with as well!

Paul was honestly the most genuinely nice person I’ve dealt with all year. He completely understood my needs and met every aspect I needed in a vehicle as well as a salesman. This man helped me get my freedom back, and I can’t tell you how liberating that made me feel. To go above and beyond is how I would define Paul. He will be the reason I will buy from Darlings again. Thanks to Nate as well for his role in things. No amount of money could ever repay how you guys made this process feel. I look forward to our business in the future.

My husband and I bought a vehicle from Darling’s yesterday. Our salesman, Paul Watson, was very knowledgeable about the car we bought, and spent a lot of time with us going over the car’s many features. We were impressed with the facility and were very pleased with the whole process. We would definitely confidently refer anyone looking to purchase a car to Paul Watson….he’ll steer you in the right direction!

I should've stuck with my local garage: They quoted me $379.99 for a part and $290 for what they said would take 2 hours of labor. That plus some $49.99 shop supplies and $20.90 in sales tax added up to a quote of $740.88. I couldn't afford it, so I called Darlings: They quoted $190 for the same part and said they could do it in 30 min for $75 in labor. Wow: Huge savings...until the 30 minutes stretched into a 3.5 hour wait and I was eventually told they broke some other parts while trying to fix the original issue. They did give me a loaner; otherwise, I would've been camped out in their lobby as I had driven 90 minutes away from my local area to get the bargain. BIG MISTAKE! Yes, I was informed they had to order the broken parts, one of which would cost over 200 and the other 100 and some. I asked if I could leave without having it fixed, but no, I could not. Whatever they had broken, made it unsafe to drive! In other words, I had no other choice but to leave the car there and have it fixed. I didn't think they'd have the gall to actually charge me the full price for the parts they broke, plus charge me more for labor!!! I gave them a copy of the quote my local garage had given me and explained I chose Darlings because it was so much cheaper and I couldn't afford the local garage's quote. I figured they'd at least meet the local quote, or if they cared to provide good customer service they'd beat that quote by a few dollars. But no, they handed me a bill for $925.49--almost $200 more than my local garage, and much more than their own original quote. I was SHOCKED!!! I said it was unreasonable and offered to pay half the cost for the parts they broke; I thought I was being more than gracious! The service rep took that offer to a manager who denied it. I refused to pay that part of the bill and said I wanted my keys. I was informed I could not have my keys until I paid the bill. In other words, they were holding MY CAR hostage!! I had no choice but to pay the bill. I feel bad for the mechanic because I do realize things happen; however, the customer service end should have their backs, and meet the customer halfway. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO DARLING'S HYUNDAI SERVICE CENTER!!! They are not reasonable.

Blake is the reason that makes darlings special. Without him it would just be another car lot. He is caring and truly cares about helping every customer he go's above and beyond. And is the reason why personally I will go nowhere else to purchase a vehicle. He's the ice cream to my blueberry pie he just makes it better.

I usually dread car shopping, but went into it with a general idea of what I wanted and a price point I needed to stay at. Donald made the whole process so easy for me, finding me the perfect car at the perfect price. I never felt any pressure and rather enjoyed the whole experience. He was even able to work it out so I could leave my rental there to be picked up, and take my car home that day! I will definitely be back the next time myself or anyone in my household needs a car, and I recommend Donald to anyone who is in need of buying a car!

Best place to buy a new or used vehicle. We were treated so well with all of our options offered and explained. No high pressures here. Special thanks to Gary Mitchell, John Sanborn, Bob Porter and the whole Darling's staff who went above and beyond to make a pleasurable experience. Highly recommend them for your next vehicle purchase and service needs.

I had the worst dealership experience ever with Darlings. My failed part, under warranty, for my electric car is on back order. After four months of waiting I had to ask them to buy the car back as an electric battery sitting, especially in winter degrades. I’m losing value in my car by the day. Their response was that there was nothing they could offer for a remedy. They refused to honer the warranty that I paid a lot of money for. I’ll never buy or recommend anyone buys a car from Darlings.

Went in for a check engine light. Took about an hour and a half to find the issue. Was resolved in around 4 hours total.Issues encountered:- Parts are incredibly overpriced (sometimes 90% markups)- Labor is $150+/hr, which is way higher than the national average- They most definitely upsell- Called and asked for a quote at another dealership and they estimated the cost to be 33% lessI was initially going to give this a 2 star, but I popped the hood at home and realized the mechanic left the top to a fluid container behind. Clearly not thorough.Based on other reviews, the sales team seems good. But for service: avoid at all costs (because you’ll pay!)
