We finally have gotten to the last straw with Charlie's. My vehicle had an AC problem that we knew needed a repair and was not just a recharge situation as soon as we had our first warm Spring day. It took us 3.5 weeks to get an appointment for them to do their own diagnostics to tell us what we already knew. Of course they needed time to order the parts. After they took a day to order them, we were told we were put to the back of their very long service line to get the work done... another MONTH. We found out we could get it done at another dealership with our warranty only because we begged for something sooner. We got right in somewhere else, but we were told we had to pay Charlie's for the diagnostics they did so they would close their claim and our warranty would allow the other dealership to start. Charlie's has done sketchy, slow and incomplete work for us to some degree every time we've been there. Never again.

My car is still under warranty. Charlies has had it for a month now because it was stalling and having engine problems. A month later and still nothing is fixed on it and it's a kia and their excuse was there Nessan machine was out. Well it's not a Nessan. They are also very rude on the phone as a month with no car we were calling for an update on it and the main desk was transferring the call to the shop. No one answered in the shop so we got transferred back to the main desk and not even a hello or anything nice just "you do know there's only two people working down there" in the most snotty way ever. They were so rude just after asking for an update they hung up on us.

I've bought 3 cars through them and have been treated like family. Every problem I had they fixed, and I appreciate them...especially at the wholesale lot

Honestly, not shocked to see the reviews in this state lol. As workers and experts in your field, you should be up to speed when it comes to any new laws. To give some context, a deposit was already placed but the car ended up not arriving on the date promised. That's fine. What's not fine is the passing of the new Inflation Reduction Act, which basically means the $7,500 tax credit from buying a car will be revoked UNLESS there is a written document that promises the purchase of a car will come from them.A call was made to request a simple, written statement that details that a deposit was made. This would show intention and guarantee to buy the car. They said no, and would not write anything unless the car is there. They interrupted because they assumed they were going to be asked to break the law by asking for an email version of the deposit receipt. Then abruptly hung up and followed up with this cheeky email. Do yourself a solid and give your business elsewhere. Thanks, Timmy!

Anthony was amazing! Got us into the vehicle we wanted, excellent customer service from all the Charlie's crew. 5 stars. I will be back when I am in the market for another good quality used vehicle.

recently the starter motor in our 2019 subaru crosstrek died. the car is still under warranty. i contacted subaru roadside assistance and had the car towed to charlie's subaru in augusta, maine. the service team there (led as i understand by "frank" and "andy"), could not have been more helpful or effective. highly responsive, communicative, proficient, eager to meet my time constraints -- in a nutshell, professional in every way. i highly recommend charlie's.

I loathe to write cliche, but buying a car isn’t easy. Justin, Anthony, Jeff, Randy, et al worked with me and helped me get the right car for me. I’m really happy with my 2013 Honda Civic and will certainly be a patron of their automobile services in the future.

I was able to get in, and after a little delay on my part, get the right vehicle for me. Very easy to work with everyone.

I don't consider 15k to be a "wholesale price! Wholesale means 10k or under. It's vehicles that they won't run thru their shops and sell as used cars. I only saw a couple cheap cars. Cars that are cheap to begin with. Everything else was well over 10k! This is a come on.

We went in looking at a particular car and were told it would probably be doable. Then we had one of the technicians appraising our trade break the door on our existing car, and they wouldn't claim responsibility for it. Then they sent us away with nothing set in stone, and called the next day saying they couldn't make it work with our credit. Then hat was it, they never tried any other vehicles, didn't look at any other financial options, just sent us on our way. We went to a rival dealership the next day and drove away in a much nicer vehicle than we were looking at here.
