I just had Allen's Transfer Moving and Storage assist me with moving a few pieces for me. Izzy and Matt , the movers, were courteous, friendly, competent, and fast. I had an antique Stickley that they moved without damaging. Highly recommend!

It's a tough situation to review this company: On the one hand Izzy and Matt were amazing! The other movers helping load my items were also courteous and efficient. They took good care of my stuff! They made a stressful long distance move less stressful and moved a massive amount in three and a half hours. Another plus was that the company was able to fit me into their schedule quickly, which was wonderful. My items arrived in good shape, and I didn't have to have my belongings shuttled from a box truck to an 18 wheeler, like so many companies do. This was a huge plus because nothing got lost. On the other hand, the salesperson's pitch turned out to be no different than the other deceptive large national moving companies that I had tried to avoid. I was given a "Burger King Special" (Have it your way) sales pitch. I was given an estimate after the salesperson came to my home to inventory my belongings. I chose the company based on the estimate. On move-in day, about half an hour before my belongings arrived at my new home, I learned the cost would be $1000 more than the estimate! And it had to be paid immediately, not the "we'll bill you after the move" that the sales person led me to believe. Oh, gentle customer, be aware that if you pay with a credit card, that's another several hundred dollars more! They got me coming and going! Not sure I trust this company. I feel financially swindled. I am not a person with extraordinary financial means, so these additional costs sting. But if Izzy and Matt ever go into business on their own, sign me up! They have earned my gratitude!

We recently sold our large house and moved to a condo. I am a retired career military officer and have made many moved in my career. This last move was one of the best ever. Lizzy and Matt packed us up and were assisted by Kenny and David. What a great crew. We were packed and loaded in one day where we were expecting to be done in two. Our condo was not ready so our household goods went into storage for a while. When the condo was ready we place a call to Allen’s and they came right away at the appointed time. I hope this was my last move but if I ever had to move again, it would ne withe Allen’s.

My recent move with Allen Moving and Storage was a great experience. The team led by Matt was so professional along with getting the job done in a very timely manner. Everything moved along very smooth and I would truly recommend them to anyone. The good news... they travel outside of Maine so I can easily pass along their information to my family and friends in Massachusetts.

We were extremely pleased with the job that Allen's Moving & Storage did moving us within state. Two trucks and a superb team of 5 guys worked diligently, efficiently, and carefully to pack, transport, and unpack our belongings. They did an outstanding job. They were easy to work with at both ends of the move and they were caring and gentle in handling everything and placing the furniture and boxes in their appropriate places. They did a superb job. It made the move easier and it reduced our anxiety and concerns. Everything arrived in excellent condition with no damages noted. We were wholly satisfied and we very highly recommend their services. Thanks to Tyler and his caring 'team' of movers on a job well done!

Absolutely wonderful team to work with. Would recommend them for any move you may have. They loaded an 8x8x16 POD so efficiently getting all the contents of 2 storage units into the POD to be shipped to Seattle, WA.

I highly recommend this company! Everyone was wonderful...very nice and helpful. I am about the least trusting person I know and when I had to move I had a horrible time choosing a moving company. After alot of research and procrastination I chose Allen's and it was the best choice I could have made. They got me an appt very quickly and they went above and beyond to get me moved...way more than I even expected. They were focused and busted butt for the entire time and at the same time made a not so fun thing so much more bearable...I hesitate to say fun but we did laugh some. Thanks guys! Everything arrived at my new place perfectly and I had some super fragile stuff. I'm impressed.

Arranged for 2 storage units in Rockland to be loaded in a POD. There was a hiccup in communication and only this one day to complete. The owner of Allen's drove 1 hour to see what needed to be done to complete the project, and it was done and completed. I've never seen this level of customer care offered before. The owner, Don, and the packing staff - Matt, Izzy and Ken were phenomenal. I will sing their praises every chance I get.Happy Deb in Rockland.

We are repeat customers of this company and we’d never go with anyone else. We recently completed a long distance move and it was the best experience we’ve ever had. Don, Matt, Izzy and all the team were extremely professional and took excellent care of our belongings and houses. One thing that we really appreciated was the cheerful and upbeat attitudes of the crew. Their politeness and consistent positivity kept us from feeling overwhelmed, more than once.
