Our dog is horribly dog reactive, Vet won't even do his nails unless he is asleep (very expensive). John was very understanding and accommodating to help us. He was eager to make it happen and he did.We are truly greatful for John and his customer service.

I went in for a nail trim with a reactive senior and a very active younger dog. John did an incredible job with both of them. Their space and knowledge allowed my reactive boy to have a low stress experience, and to be able to be treated like any other dog.

After calling several area groomers and never getting a call back, I found Top Dog. I received a very quick reply to my question about getting my dog's nails trimmed. I have an 11 month old GSD who, because of a bad nail trim in the past, was incredibly fearful of having his paws touched, let alone clipped. I brought my dog to Top Dog today, and reiterated that he was fearful of nail trims and I was worried he may bite. The owner remained upbeat and positive about working with my dog, and we got Ozzey up on the grooming table. Ozzey never once pulled his paws away, never showed his teeth,and the trimming was done perfectly without and issues. I was shocked my dog handled this so well, but it was 100% because the owner was just amazing at his job. I highly recommend this groomer and will be taking Ozzey here every time his nails need a trim.

I looked for a long time for a place that would groom my dog! The groomers at top dog did a wonderful job at giving my dog helios a beautiful cut!

First time there. I was disappointed in the staff. Never greeted me. I left feeling unsure about leaving my baby. Did a decent job on the grooming.

I wasn't intending to leave this review but the more I thought about it the more I got angrier. My 87 year old, retired navy, father-in-law has an English Setter. He's flying out Tuesday with my wife to visit the Missouri farmland he's from. His dog is his pride and joy and has filled a hole after we lost my mother in law. He's legally blind and his dog is a service dog. We were looking forward to having his dog groomed so he would look his best.We have been to Top Dog several times. We liked the owners. Unfortunately the last two visits they got it wrong. The last time we brought in the English Setter and our Great Pyrenees. I asked for a summer cut on the pyrenees, and brought a picture so I could show we wanted the tail not shaven but was trimmed a few inches. we also wanted the Setter trimmed. Unfortunately, The Great Pyrenees, although looking beautiful, wasn't trimmed as we had requested, nor was the Setter. It costs us $180 plus my father in law always was generous with the tips. We had also been disappointed the time before. WE decided not to make a stink and were going to go elsewhere, but my father in law liked John and insisted we go back.The night before our appointment, my wife wrote a text explicitly explaining what we wanted in the Pyrenees trim so as not to have any confusion. She texted because as a teacher she needs to be in school at 7 am. Also their website doesn't offer any email. She sent the text, not expecting an answer, just wanting to be sure that our expectations were spelled out clearly. Apparently, this struck a nerve with John. He disrespectfully responded immediately saying he didn't know what to say, as if he was in disbelief anyone would have the audacity to text at 9:30 at night, and scolded her that she should have waited for business hours. Again, she was only wanting to leave instructions not expecting him to respond. How many of us receive a text, look at it and wait until later to address it? Had I addressed his wife in the same way, I assure you, I would have heard about it.They are so busy, I'm sure the loss of our business will be no big deal to Top Dog, but for us the experience has been disappointing.

We will not take our beloved puppers to anyone else. They're great with her (she has anxiety), their prices are reasonable, and my doggo always looks fantastic when we pick her up.

I'd tried to find somewhere to take my nervous dog that would allow us to be right there with him and nobody would allow it until Top Dog! Unfortunately it's going to be several trips close together to get his nails back to where they should be because it was too long since his last trim but he's a whole different old dog since getting him in to be seen there! Will happily be back often! Thank you Top Dog!Note: Just know it's cash or check only because I missed that on the way in and had to run to the ATM before we left for home but easy enough for us to change for next time.

Very friendly. They do a great job. I usually just get nails clipped for now on my toy chi, who won't let me do her nails. Joe is very helpful and kind.

Brought My puppy Annie in today for a grooming and I was very happy with her services. She is a toypoodle and yorkie mix. The staff was reassuring and very friendly.She will definitely be coming back and thank you for taking care of my baby!! Sincerely a happy pup mom

I moved last year and wanted to find a groomer closer. If you're a pet owner you know the anxiety of leaving your baby with new people. They didn't disappoint. My guy is old and I ask them to be gentle and they must have been! My dog came home beautifully groomed and in no distress at all!! Thank you for all you to make it a positive experience for me and my fur baby:)

Owners knew the hard task of trying to puppy train a bernedoodle for grooming but they love our dog Sanders and have worked with him repeatedly to get him comfortable with the clippers and nail trimming and brushing and washing/drying. Our dog gets overstimulated very easily and won’t calm down so they worked with me for scheduling/less stimulation to help get sanders puppy hair cut so his adult coat can grow out better. They were patient and explained tricks and tips to help for future appts- best service we’ve ever had and very thorough !!! We are getting another bernedoodle soon and we will remain loyal customers based on their great attention to our dogs needs and all the help they provide us as new puppy owners to prepare for many years of needing grooming care for two large dogs! Can’t recommend them enough to anyone who is in need of grooming care- sanders smells so good and he’s so clean and happy when he is done each time we visit! 5 stars!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you so much Top Dog! I have been looking for a groomer for our 4 dogs - 3 of whom are 13+ years old..small...and 1 or 2 may not be easy going on any particular day. You did a beautiful job...they all have returned looking awesome. In addition, they returned with their typical spunky attitudes, so I know they were really well cared for. It is so relieving to know that they are in safe hands- and that they will be just as beautiful as they deserve to be. Thanks again- Caren and John (Ivan, Gracie, Mimsy and Ginger also say thanks!)

These people are angels! We came to them with an emergency rescue dog and they jumped into action spending part of their day grooming a very unhappy canine. We will be forever grateful to John and Sally and their willingness to help a dog in need.
