We brought our two dogs here for the first time last weekend as a trial run for our upcoming vacation. We first did a tour of the facilities, and found them to be very clean and well run. When we walked in, there were not dogs barking wildly at one another as we have seen at other kennels. Each kennel has solid sides so they don't feel threatened by other dogs nearby. The dogs have their own run that during the day the door is lifted so they can go outside. We put our dogs together in one kennel and the owner will separate them during feeding time, so that one is not stealing food or causing problems with the other one. A nice touch! The dogs also will not interact with other dogs during their stay, which is good for us, as one of our dogs does not do well with others. Don is the owner and is very nice and soft-spoken. He seems to have a very gentle way about him. On the phone, he may sound a little standoffish, but when you meet him in person, you realize that it is only his soft-spokeness and he is very friendly. My dogs who are normally anxious around new people did not seem to have that reaction with him at all. Prices are extremely reasonable. Bring your own blankets or dog beds as separate ones are not provided. They do offer additional services such as baths for an additional fee during the dog's stay. Our dogs left there calm, and not stressed at all. I feel extremely comfortable bringing them back for a week during our vacation as I know, they will be in good hands.

A great place to leave your animals. My two dogs were in good hands at Shangri-La Kennels and I appreciated that I could call for updates during their stay. I would absolutely leave them there again!

Just picked up our dog after 4 days there. Gentleman was very nice, polite, and patient, and good with the animals. We thought she would be stuck in a small area, but it turns out she had access to go outside whenever she wanted on a run. She loves it outside, so that was nice to hear. They said she was great. Not stressed at all. Ate well, and seemed happy. So this says a lot about the environment there. No hesitation to bring her back when necessary.

I called Shangri la in APRIL about booking my two dogs in October, owner stated at that time everything was all set that he just needed my vet records. I called him today about vet records and vaccinations and he totally denied I called and stated he never approved it as that time was "blocked" off, not only that but he was totally rude and condescending denying everything! If you can't do it fine, atleast let me know before now and not be a douche about it!!

The runs are spacious and very clean. Dogs have individual spaces and are safe in their own private indoor/outdoor runs.

Since bringing my dog cleric here I've noticed he's a lot more calm he's getting along better with strangers, he's better behaved and it gives me peace of mind knowing that he can stay warm and be cared for while my husband and I are at work.

We started boarding our greyhound here after moving to Auburn. We previously boarded him at the greyhound shelter but found this kennel closer to home and with great reviews. Don was very welcoming and friendly. He let us take a peek at the facilities before officially leaving our dog in his care. Prices are reasonable and Don is great with the animals. Our grey always comes home in a good mood and is always excited to see him.

We adopted our dog Monty a few months ago when he was about two years old. Right out of the shelter, he was really "mouthy" and didn't have any doggie manners, plus he has a high prey drive. I was nervous to start boarding him (because of his behavioral issues).I'm so glad we tried Shangri-La Kennels! Monty has been there a few times now, and we honestly won't go any other place. The owner Don is kind, he really knows dogs, and he runs a clean & safe kennel. He's been flexible and understanding when changes happen in our schedule (we even did an emergency drop-off once without calling ahead). Thank you to Don and Shangri-La Kennels -- not only do you make our lives easier, but Monty loves visiting you. We will be back, for sure.(By the way, Monty doing great. He's settling right in with us and getting to be a better boy every day.)

Shangri-la Kennels has been our go-to for kenneling and obedience training for our dogs. Don does a fantastic job and our dogs love going to see him.

Our dogs loved there stays there. We can leave them for several days at a time while we travel and know they are cared for the same as if they were at home with us. They get to share a kennel and be together all day and night. The owner cares for them is onsite and we are so thankful for his business.
