I brought my car in for a new tire installation and it was an absolute disaster. After the technicians finished installing my tires, they told me to get them retorqued within 50 miles. I was about to get on the highway when something told me to do this sooner.
I am so glad I did because Sullivan Tire found that 3 of the 4 tires had the lugnuts in BACKWARDS. This caused damage to one of my rims which neeeded to be replaced. When I went back to BJ's to tell them that this could have killed me and they need to replace a new rim, I was told I needed to file a claim with them. I was met with pure beauracracy instead of a refund or any attempt to replace my rim.
I highly reccomend Sullivan Tire. I do NOT reccomend BJs. Added photos for evidence.

I have had great service at this location. Although it can be challenging to get in contact with them through phone (I tend to just swing by in person) and they're typically booked out fairly far, especially as winter closes in, the mechanics there are always helpful and honest.
They've been struggling with low staffing for quite a while, which the employees themselves can't really help. They usually are fairly busy when I arrive, so it takes longer than you might expect for a rotation and balance, but honestly it's no worse than Tire Warehouse, for example, who I've waited on for almost 2 hours just for a tire swap.
All things considered, I've never had a negative interaction with the employees there, and they have been honest with me about what they have lined up and a fair estimate of when I should expect to have my car serviced.
I got a great deal on tires at BJs with free rotations, balancing, AND flat repair, and that's is well worth the wait in my opinion. Honestly the best deal I've ever gotten on a quality set of tires.
It seems that low reviews are pertaining to the wait time and lack of efficiency, but give them a chance. It's not their fault the company can't get more people hired.

We had an appointment at the tire center that we booked a few weeks ago. Dropped the car off this morning and saw only 1 car on the lift. So assumed we were next for our 1030 appointment. The guy said it would be awhile…. Short staffed. We called at 4:30ish to check on the car and the supervisor said it’s not ready, and hasn’t made it in the garage yet. How can this be??? We had an appointment for 1030. So did he just take walk-ins all day?!Supervisor said it might be ready by 6pm and that’s when the tire center closes. Screw that!!We will take our business elsewhere! Poor poor customer service!Maybe put a sign on the door that says appointments come FIRST..

Had a positive outcome (after a small glitch that was resolved by the tire center manager, Chris). I am anticipating being a happy customer. Thanks!

Yes. However was unaware that prices can differ at different BJ’s? Love the Wellsley Farm bakery muffins but they went from$3.99 to $6.99 ? way more than even 20% increase!? Can you say price gouging? Portland store only went to $4.98. Guess I’ll be shopping when down that way?

Best gas prices around. Always find mostly what I want in there. Good prices.

I joined BJs because they were the only place in the area advertising TVs w built-in DVD players. Surprise! None available. I returned to BJs for glasses. Surprise! The optician hours online are not the optician hours. BJs is a 72 minute round trip from my home. So far, I've wasted one trip and acquired a TV that isn't what I wanted. Plus, since the lowest cost membership advertised online is not available in store, I've also spent $40 more than planned on my membership. Beyond disappointing. (I did get some useful kitchen knives at a decent price.)

Fun shopping experience with my cousin. But I have to say, does anyone in Maine actually buy frozen lobster? Parking lot is huge. Gas line was long. Everyone was friendly that we talked with. Helpful, even the customers were helpful when we were asking about something. They chimed in to give us directions.

After living in California for 6 years, traveling to Costco for all my bulk-goods purchases, BJ's would seem like a step-down, but this location does a great job providing good products and services to its customers. This is my go-to place for televisions. They offer some great prices, especially during Black Friday and Christmas. I walked out here with a 55" Hisense TV for $299 and it's still working 2 years later. The muffins in the bakery are double the size of any other local bakery and a great compliment to my morning coffee. They don't have the typical sampling stations one would expect, given COVID restrictions. They usually have most of what I look for in stock, so I can typically get in, grab what I need, get out and all in under an hour. Could I get out sooner? Absolutely, but I always see things that I am like "huh, should I or shouldn't I?" haha. If you want BJ's gas, which is usually one of the lowest in the area, you need to time it just right otherwise you could wait anywhere from 5-20 minutes before you get to the pump. Have your credit card and BJ's card handy as you don't want to be "that person" who holds up the line while you fumble to initiate payment to activate the pump.

First, you get your cart and then have to walk around the entrance to get in. So basically the carts are at the exit area. They say social distancing but only have 2 registers open.....they are right next to each other. I personally don’t care about it but the whole time you’re in there they say you have to social distance. I waited over 20 minutes in line. Horrible experience.

When a local BJ's Supervisor was asked today why so few people were wearing masks - the answer was appalling. "Am I supposed to be the mask police - we cant infringe on their civil rights..." Really??? Well I CAN police my memberships and guess what.... ba-bye BJ's - my auto renewal is now CANCELLED!
