You will find absolutely beautiful furniture made on site. Lots of beautiful and tasteful home decor to wonderful Maine treasures. I always stop on our way to Greenville. You will not be disappointed. I do not recommend bringing small children and letting them free, lots of delicate items.

We recently built a log home in Bridgton and were travelling through the Abbot area when we found Maine House Homefurnishings. After browsing the main gift area we went to the back and found the furniture section. We were absolutely stunned by the beautiful bed frames, dressers, tables, mirrors, sideboards, etc... We knew that this style was exactly what we wanted for the cabin. Dom, the owner and furniture maker, came and spoke with us about our options. He basically said he could create or modify anything that we wanted. We decided on a queen bedframe with built in drawers, a bunk bed with full on bottom and twin on top with built in drawers, as well as a kitchen table, bench and chairs, 2 night stands and a chest. Later, when we had an issue with a home design company sending us the wrong island top, Dom created a wooden top which was exactly what we wanted. Pricing was incredibly fair. From what I saw Dom was more reasonable than large furniture stores. Keep in mind that this is all handmade. The time from purchase to delivery was excellent. It took about 6 weeks which is unheard of in our supply chain delay economy. The finished product and experience all around surpassed my expectations. My friends have all asked where I got the furniture and plan on making the trip to Abbot. For sure we will be making the trip back up there to meet with Dom and add more pieces.

Love this store. Every visit has been a pure joy finding little treasures to add to my collections. The woman who runs it has been so kind. If you do have small children though please be very cautious- their are many breakable items.

It is a lovely shop filled with beautiful Maine style gifts and souvenirs, some home accessories and yummy treats. If you like finding unique things it is a "must stop in".

I stopped in this morning, the sign says they open at 10:00...I waited ten minutes, and finally left. Two other customers did the same. I tried calling the number, with no luck. Evidently they are doing really well, as they can afford to lose several customers. Good for them I suppose.
