“I would like to give kudos to a member of the management team. On April 10th 2024 the entire town of Clinton lost power for roughly 74 hours, there was literally nothing open in a 20 mile radius. Help was being brought in from as far away as the next state. Since no one had power to cook we as well as half the township went to Sullivan’s to find something since they luckily had generator power where no one else did including gas stations in the area. Sullivan’s deli was up and running, “Joe” who is part of the management team was taking control and was as cool as a cucumber as she was making sure the 20 some odd people who were waiting to be waited on were taken care of in a timely manner and that everything was running extremely smoothly. I have watched this marvelous person since she started working for this company and she is amazing. She leads by example and not a “Do as I say type management person”. She has definitely raised the bar for this establishment as you can tell in the store’s appearance and employee morale. If a customer can’t find an item in stock all they need do is mention it to her and you can be guaranteed it will be in stock the next time they come into the store to shop. Even under the most trying times you can guarantee that she has a smile on her face and greets you by saying hello. They are lucky to have found her. Kuddos ?”

“The lady I always see there is very friendly and caring. I don't know if she is the manager or needs to be. It is rare to see anyone else at the register or working in the store with her so you know she is hard working handling the constant stream of customers in our little town of Jackson, Louisiana, mostly on her own. While she works the register, she greets little old men and others by name enquiring about their family and showing concern for them. She is honestly very well suited to managing the social interactions required in a small community like this. Something I know I couldn't do. I may not be one she calls by name but I am glad to see her when I go and would hate to see the place without her. Even on the end of a long busy day she manages to be friendly with most everyone that comes in”

“It's a small grocery store and the people seem to be friendly and courteous enough, that's two things I look at when doing business with stores. It doesn't have many things like a big corporation but is well stocked with foods and everyday items. ?? My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is I wish they'd have more non- GMO's and organic products as well as grass fed, grass finished beef. Overall though Star AG is a good place to shop with a "down home" atmosphere.”
