I worked at McGuire from September of 2019 to February of 2023. I loved my coworkers and my babies! It truly is a great place to work and to send your kids.

It breaks my heart to even post this review because this daycare used to be phenomenal, but I feel compelled to because I really feel like something needs to be said. A few years ago when my child started attending McGuire's, the director Katie was absolutely wonderful. Our family felt so welcome, the staff was so friendly, and we felt confident leaving our baby there each day. Things have certainly changed. The new director is so disappointing. I can't get my phone calls or messages returned. She is short with people and downright rude sometimes. Our children aren't shown the love they used to receive. The staff doesn't even seem to be happy like they used to be. It's just so sad. I hope the owners are able to turn things around. Other parents have voiced concerns as well. We will be attending a new daycare facility because we do not feel confident leaving our child at McGuire's anymore.

As a former employee at McGuire I can say please do not leave your child here. As I loved each and every person I worked with beyond compare, the management is what ultimately left me with an ill feeling. They do not take illness seriously at this center as they currently have multiple children and some employees out sick. Some even have Covid cases that have not been reported in which they should be shut down for 2 weeks with even one report of a Covid case. All the management cares about is making a quick buck off anyone who walks in their door. The management of the daycare is one thing but the fact that the church side of the business has more control than the management is appalling. The pastor, Austin rinehart, has his own agenda for the center and while he receives new technology including Mac book screens and much more, the daycare struggles to get new equipment for the children when needed. He also doesn’t appreciate any staff that works there as he denied a teacher bonus multiple times to people who have been working there for 6 + years. I adored my children and co workers to pieces but the management has got to change now.

I hate to leave a one star review but this issue needs to be publicized for future students and parents that consider using McGuire to care for their children. My one year old has gone to McGuire since June 2020. She started when she was 4 months old. In January she became very very sick and has been on and off sick because she has issues with her lungs. Since we returned in February of 2021 Emily has single handedly changed my entire view of McGuire’s. My child was singled out constantly. It was like she wanted to have her there when she was in perfect health but after she was hospitalized Emily didn’t want to be burdened by my daughter or be responsible for her. She was called me and said “breathing treatments are more of a one on one thing and there are 10 other kids the teacher needs to worry about.” After her doctor ordered breathing treatments! She would point out things in my daughter but not the same things in other students in the same class. Every single one of Ryan’s teachers have been AMAZING AND TRULY LOVING to my daughter but the director has not been. At all. It was very obvious she couldn’t wait to get rid of us whenever I inquired about a pre existing credit we had and Emily responded with “By you asking for a refund does this mean you will no longer utilize the care effective immediately? And if so I will have you check and all of Ryan’s things ready for pick up anytime between 12 and 2pm.” Let me remind you that not once did I say anything about leaving, yet. We already had one foot out of the door but that comment completely pushed us out and forever changed my opinion of the facility. After I found another daycare I asked the directors what the protocol was about a notice to switch over. I was told that even though I signed a waiver stating I had to give a 2 week notice they would waive it and said that day would be her last day and that her stuff could be picked up. Tell me they didn’t want to take care of her... What if I wasn’t ready to go to our new daycare for 2 weeks? They would have put my family in a horrible position. Thankfully the new daycare was accommodating and took her the following Monday. All I have to say is the director, Emily Dejarnette, needs to change careers if she isn’t compassionate about each and every individual child. All children are not treated equally and it’s so disappointing. Cheyenne, Taylor, Jordan, and Victory were some of her teachers at McGuire and were wonderful out child. I would hire them personally as babysitters if I could. We love them but the admin has got to change. I’ve spoken with a lot of other unhappy parents who’s children go there and it’s so sad that one person can destroy what used to be such a great place.

I have had great experience with all the people that work here! The facilities and workers have always been the best part of this daycare. I look forward to leaving my child with them because I know that they are safe and will learn what they need to. They also take great consideration and care into the health of the kids and staff.
