If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The first time I came here was a week and a half ago because my oil pan was cracked. They immediately took it to the back and shortly after told me what all needed to be replaced. I asked them how long it would take to get my car back because I was expecting multiple days and they told me that my car would be finished the next day. Sure enough, I get a call that next afternoon and my car was ready to be picked up. More recently, today, my car started running funny and brought it up to them. They initially said they may not get to it today because of other repairs they had and that is completely understandable being that I brought my car around 12:30/1:00. They called me about 45 minutes later and told me they diagnosed it and told me I needed all new coils and spark plugs. I asked them about how long it would take and he said oh it will be done before closing time. Around 3:00 I got a phone call and my car was ready. I went and picked it up and it runs so well now. They are super efficient, fast, reliable, excellent communicators, and overall very nice people. I am so pleased with them and I will never go anywhere else.

These people are awesome! Chris always handles my tires and they take really good care of my company vehicles. When I need something, this is where I go and always tell others about them.

Professional service! Fair, honest, and reliable. They were upfront with everything, showed me a written quote on all the work needed and estimated time to repair. They are now my new “go to” for auto repair.

I had the right passenger tire light on so I pulled in and asked if they would check my air pressure. The guy put 50 in my tires!! At the time I didn’t even realize how wrong that was until all my sensors came on so I went to the next tire place and they were like WHAT 50! And corrected the pressure but now they are all red and the alerts are on. I called Gonzales to tell them and they told me that I ASKED for 50. There is no way in any possible way I did that I know NOTHING about tires or cars. They don’t care and have people there who know nothing about anything!!! I have to now get my sensor fixed bc they burnt them.
First is my car now and the second pic is when I left I don’t have a before picture bc in my wildest dreams I didn’t think I would need it.

They took every possible information to do an estimate, including vin number and license plate. Then quoted over $730-$1000 for a spark plug and cables and fuel injector cleaning. Went to another competitive company in Walker for directly half that price of $345. Way over priced.

It's not often you leave a mechanic's shop, look for a forum on which to offer a review, and feel disappointed that you can ONLY leave 5 stars! At Gonzales Tire & Automotive in Walker, LA, they are not only extremely capable, but they understand what so few these days actually do - that when you treat customers as a priority, provide excellent service and conduct business with honesty/integrity, you cultivate a lifelong customer!
No appointment was required, so I expected a wait when I drove in. Instead, I was met in the parking lot, ushered inside immediately, and a tech was test driving my vehicle in under 5 minutes! While I settled in for what I was sure would be at least an hour, given that I needed them to look at the brakes and pull any transmission codes, I witnessed a mechanic come in to the waiting area to speak with another customer. He explained, extensively, the issues the man was having with his a/c system, relayed that it was beyond the purview of what they handled, and sent the man (who was grateful for the frank report) down the road without charging him a cent. I was still marveling at the exchange when the mechanic diagnosing my vehicle came in... I'd been there less than 20 minutes and in that time they'd done a road test, checked the brakes, and, as I'd requested, pulled codes for a transmission issue I'd described but for which I'd had no display warnings. The tech reported that the squeaking from the brakes was a result of humidity & that I still had 70% wear, so the pads didn't need to be replaced. He also let me know that while no active codes came up, there WERE 2 transmission codes in the history (I WASN'T crazy after all). Since they don't do transmission work, I was offered a recommendation... and then... the man who'd met me outside and opened my ticket refused payment! I argued! They'd provided a service, had done everything I'd asked, didn't treat me like I was an idiot, and they were efficient, polite, AND HONEST. They deserved to be paid for their time! He wouldn't hear of it. Instead he sent me on my way, comfortable in the knowledge that they'd cultivated a lifelong customer who'll trust them to handle the vehicles of all of my family members and friends from here on out. 6 STARS! And many thanks for being the example of a business model that makes "customer care" a priority, rather than a remote department you reach after 30 minutes on hold!
