I purchased my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 work truck from Boardwalk Motors in May 2022 ( Approx 6 months ago ).I live local and had been looking for a specific truck. Single cab, long bed, Chevrolet Silverado 2500 WT. The only other one I was able to find nearby was at one of the large lots and they had it marked up quite a bit more than I thought was fair. At the time, the new car shortage was in full swing and many dealers were charging crazy high prices for used vehicles.I found the exact truck I wanted on one of Boardwalks listings online. The price on my truck was not only reasonable, but it was actually a thousand or so below the Kelley Blue book suggested retail. I was a bit hesitant to purchase from them after reading some of their negative reviews online but decided to give them a chance and go look at the truck. The truck had obviously been detailed very well. It had brand new tires on it, and a fresh Louisiana Inspection sticker which was a positive sign. The driver seat looks like it had a new cover installed ( done well, just looks newer than the other seat ). There were also a few other odds and ends that indicated they had touched up things. They obviously go through them through some sort of restoration process. I ended up purchasing the truck after going over it and taking it on a couple of test drives.I must admit that I did get a bit nervous when they told me that the transmission had been repaired during the prep process. I thought seriously about not getting the truck. However, they provided info as to where the repairs had been made. I checked their reviews and found that the repair shop was reputable and felt re-assured that it would be okay. Especially considering they could have easily not told me about the repair at all and I would have never been any wiser. When I purchase a used vehicle, I know that it will not be perfect. This one has been no different. With that said, the money has been on minor issues like a new center brake light off of ebay. A new cap for the windshield wiper reservoir, and new rotors on the front end.The truck has been reliable with no check engine lights. I have hauled heavy loads and pulled a car hauler trailer from Louisiana to Florida and all over Texas picking up equipment for my business. All in all I am happy with the purchase and cant complain. I bought a USED truck with 150,000 miles on it.My only suggestion would be to look the paint over really well. Whatever they use to buff the paint does a really good job of hiding small imperfections. With that said, I am still 100 percent happy with the purchase and experience. I would do business with them again.Update: August 2023 and still happy with the truck

This place does not even deserve a star. Please do NOT EVER buy a vehicle from this establishment. I purchased a truck from them and within less than 5 months the motor blew and they would do nothing to fix or alleviate the situation. Among having other issues that did not turn up until I brought the vehicle home. I was told they have been investigated extensively but they always have their paperwork in order. Now I'm out not only a vehicle but the cash I paid for said vehicle. Just a really shady organization and should be shutdown.

Thank you Boardwalk Motors for a great car-buying experience! I found the vehicle online and after speaking with the owner on the phone, who is very direct and honest about the condition of the vehicle, I decided to fly down and purchase it. They picked me up at the airport and brought me to the vehicle. I test-drove it and was happy to see that it looked as good as the photos online had depicted. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the paperwork went quickly and smoothly. Afterwards, I drove the car vehicle back to Colorado without any issues. I would definitely recommend them and, if necessary, will buy from them again in the future.

Just like others I came from out of state but my experience was great. I purchased a 2019 ram big horn and the truck was exactly how they said it was. I was able to do everything through text, drove down and drove the truck, took 2 minutes to sign papers and chit chatted for 20. I would recommend anyone to purchase from them and I would purchase many more from them!

Drove over to buy a 2016 F250 King Ranch, got there truck had damage they did not disclose, CCV was clogged causing a lot of blow by. But they reduced the price by $1100. I was happy with that signed the paper work and wrote a check for the truck. On the way home the check engine light came on, had the Ford dealer check it DEF pump and injector were bad they showed the code was last cleared just before I bought it based off mileage. I never checked the key FOB but later realized it did not work. Went to replace the battery and it was full of corrosion. Had to get Ford to make me a new one, truck only came with the one key. Air filter was beyond clogged but truck over all was super clean engine bay was beautiful untouched and super clean. Windshield had been replaced very recently and there was shattered glass all in the dash that I later found not a huge problem just zero attention to detail. The sales men were helpful and friendly, I do not regret my purchase any at all I love the truck. Had to have new tires put on, $3200 in emissions improvements to correct failed parts. $275 in debt removal to fix the bed corner that they did not mention.

They have no problem selling you a vehicles with “knowing” structure damage. We checked the car fax for any problem with the ram 2500 and now showed up. I went to get the truck appraise and found out through experian that it had structure damage. 39k down the drain never again

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS PLACE!!! THEY SELL TRUCKS WITH BLOWN HEAD GASKETS AND OTHER MAJOR ISSUES. THEY CHARGE EXTREMELY TOO MUCH FOR VEHICLES THEY KNOW ARE GARBAGE. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO A REPUTABLE AND VERY ESTABLISHED DESLERSHIP. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ESPECIALLY BEING A CUSTOMER PAYING CASH! Your ARUARGUMENTATIVE and COMBATIVE response to me and others that submits a review which details our experience with your dealership helps to prove our point. Your business lacks business ethics, education, and has an overall lack of good customer service. We have had nothing but month after month after month of repairs on this vehicle, so it has not been a year and NOW COMPLAIN as you want people to believe. Its been EVERY FREAKING MONTH SINCE WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE! I have submitted all the details to the Better Business Bureau and advise all others to do the same.

I’m a firm believer that you shouldn’t follow the experience of others. If you’ll notice the negative reviews are shown for the most part. I was kind of skeptical about purchasing from this company. Please don’t let the negative reviews run you away. My purchase went sooo smoothly and quickly that I had to ask if I was finish. The guys that serviced me were very helpful in working with me. I would recommend. Great group of guys……. Thanks

I saw that Alexis had written a very negative review, and wanted to balance it out, because my experience with Boardwalk Motors was great. People love to complain, and used car dealerships must be top of the list of things to complain about, but my experience was super: Late Friday I saw a van on Cars.com. I texted Boardwalk asking if they'd be open on Saturday. I had a reply within 15 minutes from Daniel at BM indicating Yes, with the hours. I went Saturday morning. I was seen right away. The vehicle was still available. Very clean. As the place was busy, I was allowed to test drive it alone. Liked it, signed papers, came back Monday to pick it up. The price was the price, which was fair; only the government taxes and fees were added, which you can't get away from. I live in a neighboring parish, but BM is handling registration and tags for me so I don't have to visit the DMV. Oh, I had asked for them to fill the tank. At pick up, Daniel gave me $80 cash for this, even though the tank was already half full. I like the van, and the service was prompt, professional, but friendly. So I have no complaints. If you live nearby, I'd suggest that you give Boardwalk a look. John C, Hammond, LA

This dealership sold me a truck they knew had blown head gaskets and other major issues. This dealership buys, sells and services used pickup trucks, so they knew what was wrong with the vehicle. We purchased it 1/23/2021 and have had to make several repairs to the vehicle which later lead to us being told the vehicle needed head gaskets. The service engine light came on within a week of us buying the vehicle. We have had to repair drive shaft/universal joint, glow plugs, brake light switch, tire sensors, cabiler and rotor, motor body biscuits, water pump, and head gaskets. I do understand there are risks involved in purchasing a used vehicle, but this dealership that has a service department knew this truck had major issues, never revealed any, and sold it to me for far more than it's actual value due to ALL the needed repairs. They purposely reprogram the service codes so that while on a short test drive, the check engine light does not appear. There is no way this dealership did not know this truck had so many major issues especially with having service right in the attached shop. I am researching \

we bought a 2500Hd Chevrolet from them like 6 years ago and they treated us really bad. I would advise people to please read these post and RUN from that place. They are in walker, LA SO THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT THEM. It does not do you any good to complain about them to management because everyone in there is related so nothing will be done.

Coming from Atlanta, i bought a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax from them. Traded in my 2004 Sierra 2500 6.0 Liter. Cory was the fella i worked with and was very helpful and respectful. Read some of the reviews the day before and it kinda scared me, but the consensus being ebay related, Ford related or communication related. So i took the gamble and made the drive anyway on a Prayer that all would go well when i arrived. It did but it seem like whoever the guy was sitting next to Cory, didnt seem friendly at all and didnt care for me being there. Maybe he was having a bad day, but that area was destroyed by a hurricane too. So i guess i understand there is not a whole lot to smile about. Regardless, thats the only reason why i didnt give this place a full 5 stars. As for my Diesel, and trade in. I thought the trade in value was on the slightly low end of fair. But it was fair no less as im definitely not complaining. The Duramax however is doing excellent and was quite surprised they replaced the headliner and reskinned the seat. You generally dont see that too often with dealers as they just want to sell and be done. So that was really awesome. Mechanically, it needs a little minor help, which is standard on used vehicles. Brakes, oil changes, u joint replacements etc. But overall, if i had to buy from them again, im pretty sure i would.
