Not sure what is going on but this hotel needs some TLC. The staff is great but the hotel is dirty and the breakfast area has air conditioning vents dripping water and moldy ceilings.

Service at the hotel was great. Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant and professional. The hotel on its own was a 1 star.
First of all, the hallways of the hotel were probably 85 degrees and stuffy. It was ridiculously hot the entire time I was there. Dragging luggage when the hallway is that hot is miserable.
The room was smaller than typical TownePlace hotels. At the transition from the kitchenette area to the bedroom, carpet is missing in a long strip. That's also where the carpet nail strip goes so I snagged my foot on the nails a couple of times before putting a table there to make sure I walk across the threshold carefully. Not fun.
Bathroom was a decent size but one of those with the half glass wall and no door in the shower so that's always fun. No fan in there either so the steam would take over.
Air conditioning in the room was less than desired also. If you use the wall thermostat, it wouldn't cool below 73. Normally, in my house I keep it at 73 and it's cool. Here, it was very warm. Finally figured out the unit under the window could be controlled manually so I at least had a peaceful sleep.
Next day, elevators are out. Both of them. Now dragging luggage in a hot hallway and hotter stairwell. I spoke to someone in the hotel about the heat and they said the owner won't let them change it. Won't stay here again.

The only thing that I noticed was that the toilet wasn't clean. Everything else was fine need to do a better job with that

The staff was great. We were just suprised at the condition of our room. It was a queen suite with full kitchen. The only complaint is the bathroom was not fully cleaned before we checked in. I can tell you why there is water damage to floors and you know it has to show on floors below and above. The shower does not close which means water is splashing all over the place including floors. Even if you put the bath mat or other towels down, they will be soaking wet by the time you get out. It is still a slipping hazard for someone. There is no seat in it for older people to sit and shower or shave. I need that seeings though I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. There was still soap scum and mineral deposits on shower glass which tells me it was not cleaned. Mold in the corners of the shower and some of the edge where the shower meets the floor. You really need to add another sliding door to the showers and that will improve and maybe cut down on water damage. The floor had not been mopped either. Cracks in the ceiling in the corner of the shower, dirty in the bottom of the shower. Behind the toilet was nasty and behind the bathroom door. The strip over the seams going into the bathroom is a tetanus shot waiting to happen. Shower head nasty. Someone could really get hurt. Inside the oven was nasty. Burnt food still in it. Not pleasing at all when you want to use the oven. Mold on the counter strip behind the paper towel holder. For a room to be that price it had better be immaculate when I check in. We filed a complaint with management and we left and went somewhere else.

Rooms need to be cleaned and detailed a little bit better but a nice area to walk around. Sit and watch the boats come up and down the Mississippi

I attempted to check into this hotel around 0100 on Christmas morning. I was informed by the front desk representative due to a new policy implemented on 9/1/2023; this location no longer allows anyone with an address on their drivers license within a 70 mile radius of this location. I’ve been a loyal Marriott member for years and have never encountered such a restrictive policy at any Marriott location. This policy isn’t listed on the Marriott app nor displayed in plain view at the hotel. I was informed it was a decision made by management and no exceptions could be accomodated. Marriott customer service was amazing in attempting to remedy this situation but ultimately I was turned away at 0150 to seek accommodations at another hotel chain (this is the only Marriott location for 70 miles). Please be mindful of this policy if you are choosing to book with this hotel in the future.

Room was filthy. Hair and debris IN THE BED! I had already unpacked so just had the lady bring new sheets and I had to make my own bed. Dirty bathroom but thankfully I clean my own rooms so I cleaned it and had them redo it the next day. When I got in the next day (after saying they would clean my room good) the string in the bed was on the floor... so they didn't even vacuum the debris that was in the bed off the floor. Made for such uncomfortable sleep. I was here on business so I wasn't very sharp when I got to the office. The cleaning crew wasn't good but the staff downstairs did amazing at trying to fix the problem. I actually felt bad for them. Other than the cleaning crew cutting corners and not doing their job properly, the rest of the staff was good. If you stay just be wary of the sheets. Chances are they haven't been changed.

Well, great staff. Clean lobby. Rooms are just starting to suffer a bit. Stained tubs, transition pieces missing between kitchen and carpet in room, very sticky floor in kitchen, dirty fridge and stove…just not the clean and kept up with look I like to see at these hotels.Appreciate my upgrade and friendly staff, but I would recommend not letting rooms go down any further and push a little maintenance and extra cleaning on appliances and rooms.
