As far as location, this place is perfect. Breathtaking few of the Mississippi River, patio to enjoy breakfast and dinner. But the rooms need attention. I paid for river view because we were there for the balloon festival. Well, much like other reviews have stated, you can't see out the windows. Our room was also apparently over the indoor swimming pool. The smell in our room was like a musky, mildew type smell. As far as the rest of the room and service it was good. Breakfast was satisfactory and good. The cats on the patio area were very entertaining. The other problem would be if you have a Choice Hotel gift card. The front desk doesn't know how to credit your account with these. If you have one, use it when you make your reservation and not afterwards. If I would recommend Clarion Suites in Vidalia, yes I would. It is overall a good hotel. Would I return to this one? Yes I would. The river being right there at the patio area makes the other flaws seem not so bad.

The very best hotel I have ever stayed at. Homemade breakfast, ON the river ( can't get that in Natchez lol), super clean, and the staff are amazing !
Just remember the river is the only thing dividing the two cities. I wish the Old Natchez folks would quit causing division, not wanting to do business in Vidalia.
Because Vidalia is INCREDIBLE!
The nicest folks, super clean town and you can still drive over the river and visit Natchez.
This hotel is simply incredible !

This place has such great potential. Location is great, but facility has not been updated in God knows how long. Was in town looking for potential places to host a family reunion. The place had such a great layout and even had an indoor pool. It had meeting rooms, a conference room & large gathering room. Large lobby just wonderful. Would be excellent competition for the Marriott down the road. However, owner has done nothing. Why? Who knows? Times are tough. Just seems like such a great waste of real estate.
Noteworthy details: Desperately needs updating! Inside & out.

Hotel has really gone down in the last few years. There were roaches and other bugs found in my room. There was an extra large cockroach near ice machine on 1st floor. The room smelled like mildew and water was coming out of the air conditioning unit causing water to wet the rug. Everyday there was an issue getting towels. The pool room was cold and the pool felt like an ice bath….. need major updating. Location was beautiful off the water. Breakfast was good.
Rooms: Very old and furniture and carpet was stained and dirty. Need major shampooing and new furniture.
Walkability: Off the beautiful river walk
Food and drinks: Breakfast was the same everyday. Waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon one day and had to beg for more, biscuits and gravity. Juice machine.
Noteworthy details: I don’t suggest taking clothes out bag and storing. Keep luggage zipped at all times.

This place is absolutely awful! Do not stay it smell like mold through out the whole building and on top of all the the room smelt the worst. I work on the road and have stay in over 300 hotels and this is by far the worst one I’ve ever been in. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY!!!!!

I loved the location and the hotel except for one thing. We were on a family vacation and every morning at 9 am was the housekeeping knocked on the door. We told them we were still getting dressed and they asked if we would could give them our towels, they they needed to do laundry. That happened every morning we were there. Other than that, the place was great.

Pros: Just by Mississippi River. You can enjoy the river view while having breakfast. The view is unbeatable. There is a trail by the river. You can walk along it and enjoy the river breeze. The breakfast is good and staff very friendly.
Cons: The room is dated and the carpet is not very clean. The pillow is small and uncomfortable.

My daughter and I were very comfortable. Room was a little outdated and could use a design refresh however it was clean, big, and comfortable. Location on the river was beautiful. Service was very good!

Asked for a room facing the river. They gave me the only room with a cloudy glass window (because of a weather Incident). The next day I told the desk if someone asking for a room with a riverview, dont give then 215. He offered to find me another room. He called and said to come look at this room. Layout identical but window view perfect. We love to watch the barges going up and down the river. This is the best hotel with a view in Vidalia and Natchez. Room also has couch/hideabed, desk, mw, frig, coffee, 5 lamps and full length mirror besides king or 2 queens. Daily cleaning service.Walkability: You are at the north end of a 10' wide lit walking path with lights and benches and picnic tables along the 1 1/2 mile trail along the Mississippi RiverFood & drinks: Great free breakfast. The best sausage - both links one day and patties the next. Riverfront Bar& Restauant has great food. Catfish dinner with potatoes and great tossed salad $14. Trivia Night Tues. 6:30.
