Staff is curt, cold and uncaring. Their communication skills are lacking and I did not sense they care much for animals.

Ridgefield is great. My little dog was very sick and we did not expect her to live beyond 2022. With a blood disease, tumor and blindness Dr. Pitre helped her to live until almost 2023. Even a Vet in New Orleans said she wasn't going to live beyond 2022. Thank you Dr. Pitre for giving me one more year with my precious little dog. The staff was wonderful with her every time I went there. I recommend Ridgefield. They are the best.

This animal hospital cares for your pet as much as you do! They don't hesitate to call you, even after hours when you have a crisis. They handled my both my pet rats with tender loving care both times they needed help and treated them with as much love as we had for them. I highly recommend them for anyone in the Thibodaux region!

MOST of the staff has always been friendly and helpful. I do not like the way checking out is set up - you just stand randomly at the counter and keep being asked if you need help over and over while someone is off doing the paperwork. There should be a specific spot or two to check in and check out. That being said, if I had gone with the protocol a certain young female veterinarian gave me, my pet would be dead. She spoke to me as if I were clueless and even said the data I brought in about my pet's health was 'hard to believe.' Numbers do not lie. Thankfully, I did my own research and with lots of time and dedication, my pet is in much better health now and not buried in the ground.

Personalized care, I felt the warmth of this vet immediately. Very knowledgable about my dog's skin condition and developed a long term treatment solution that has been working! I drive a little further to get to this vet because of the service.

A huge shoutout to the staff and Doctor Pitre, I was out in Thibodaux visiting family when my beagle got into a fight with a wild cat and had her eye scratched. Being as I have never been there they still treated me and my pup as if we were their own clients. And we're very informative and quick getting her patched up. Thanks guys!

I recently had a sicky pup and I could not be happier with how Ridgefield Animal Hospital took care of her AND me! This is a bit of a long one, but I know I appreciate detailed experiences when it comes to the fur baby... I called to make an appointment and they had an opening in an hour (SCORE!)... However, after answering some questions about her symptoms, I was asked to bring her in immediately. As she was sneezing and coughing, I was asked to call when I was close so they would have a room available immediately. This way, if she was contagious, she would not sit in the waiting room spreading her sicky germs to other pets. I met Dr. Pitre who was an absolute gem. She told me she suspected it was some infected teeth which would mean the Peanut would need oral surger. She also informed me of different testing she'd like to do to rule out other conditions so that we didn't do the surgery and Peanut still be sick. She was up front about costs every step of the way. After getting a clean x-ray, we went on to some blood and urine testing. Dr. Pitre gave me a couple of options to help with the cost. After getting her fluids results back in good shape, Dr. Pitre then concluded that oral surgery was the next step. She gave Peanut some antibiotics, we booked for the following week, and I was sent home with some pain medication. Peanut was clearly still ill, but noticeably better within a day. Surgery day came and we were greeted with a bright and shiny staff, despite it being early in the morning. We met with Dr. Arrison, who was fantastic. She also gave us detailed explanations of every step. We left the Peanut with Dr. Arrison, confident that she was in good hands. We quickly received a call that the radiograph was finished and got the update. The surgery was done a couple of hours later and we got the full report. They kept Peanut until the end of the day to ensure she was recovering from the anesthesia okay, which she did, so we got to pick her up that evening. We got written instructions on what to expect, what was, done, and we got to keep her pulled teeth (which is equally disgusting as it is awesome). Despite being a bit sleepy, floppy, and confused, Peanut was great. All of her symptoms had vanished and her tail has not stopped wagging. We got a follow-up call a day to two after the surgery, which was appreciated. The service here is impeccable and the prices are extremely fair. Peanut is as healthy as she has ever been and I was kept informed and comfortable.

If only people doctor's offices were this well run & personable. The staff are SO accessible. They are exceedingly responsive to any mode of contact that I correspond through. Most importantly, they are just as crazy-stupid about the lengths to which they will go for my dog as I am. One of the great features that they offer is a pet portal, which allows you to see the history of your dog's health records, schedule appointments, & SO MUCH more. I very much like that they remind me when my dog's shots, meds, blood work, etc... are in need of attending to. In short, they help me to a better, more responsible pet owner then I think I would be otherwise.

I have been very pleased with this office. The staff really have a great connection with the animals they see and go about their business and exams in a very calm manner which for the most part keeps the animals from getting stressed out.

I highly recommend Dr. Breaux and the rest of the staff at Ridgefield Animal Hospital. I trust them completely with my babies because I know they will treat them like their own. Wonderful care without a doubt.

It is obvious that the staff at Ridgefield Animal Hospital do everything they can to take care of your pet in their office. They do thorough check ups and are great at treating the problems they diagnose.

Dr. Breaux is fantastic. I have been very pleased with this office and really appreciate that they are a 24 hour emergency care clinic. It is really comforting to know they are there if you ever need them for anything.
