If I could honestly leave a negative star I would. I can say they were consistent however. Consistent at being horrible. I'm used to moving companies at least communicating the beginning or at the very least the end of a move. Not once was I contacted or even given an eta of when my stuff would arrive. The call I received was "hey we're 30 minutes away from you" which would have been great if I were notified that they were even coming that day. From not updating me, to even forgetting my couches, but somehow packing an empty pizza box on top of my fridge. How do you forget two couches? To cover themselves they're saying they were told not to bring them, thus making it so i can not even get a redelivery or reiumbursed for their error. I guess it's easier to lie and say I forgot to tell you when I previously said that the entire apartment minus the appliances would be moving. Oh not to mention the cancellation. that they try to hit you with even though you can never reach them by phone or email. And when you present these facts and evidence they continue to deny deny deny. If you've read this far, please please PLEASE stay far far away from this company. I honestly could have done it in a day with a u-haul but since my company offered it I thought why not. I thought wrong, but it's not too late for you. Unless you enjoy being lied to and maybe your furniture forgotten, RUN don't walk away from slidell moving.

This has got to be the absolute worst moving experience of my life. This company was contracted by my company to pack, move and unpack my belongings.Delicate items were packed with electronics, dishwear and recreational things such as tennis rackets. The even packed my Keurig with water still present in the appliance. Things were thrown in any box in no kind of order and without any regard.I moved to another state only to find out from my landlord that they left several of my belongings ( noparishable andnoncombustable) in my lasy apartment. Things are missing ( my tv for example), broken, and they never unpacked not one box.The company refuses to be held accountable in any way. I will be filling a Better Bureau claim as well as reaching out to my company to recommend that they be removed as a vendor. Please BEWARE

They are given one star because I cannot leave a review without a star! Horrible customer service that spreads their people too thin. We received the worst packers on Monday that left our movers tons of extra work which killed their timeline. Sending three movers to move 12K worth of stuff with a small truck means we know have to split our load out across two days. If the company states they can move your goods in one day, they need to move it in one day, bottom line. Our movers even called and asked for assistance and received nothing. 9th move across our 20 plus years in the military and by far, the worst. I would live the opportunity to talk about this with the company but I’m sure that will never come. Worst moving company ever.

This company packed and shipped my household items. So far, the experience has been good. We'll see how delivery goes before adding the last star.

The truckers are likely skilled in this weather, but its incredibly dangerous and unnerving for them to flash their lights and honk their horns behind any non trucking vehicles while a raging monsoon is flooding the roads on I10.

Slidell moving is is the most professional and experienced moving company I've ever had moved me. And they will be the last because I will never choose another moving company besides Slidell moving. The guys chemistry was amazing so I can tell that they have worked together for many years. Everyone was on time kept a smile on my face and made my move extra stress-free. The beauty of it all they were overmanned and made my move go extra fast. None of my items were damaged they treated all of my things as if they were their own. So I want to send a special thanks to Slidell moving into tell all the review readers to choose Slidell I promise you can't go wrong.

I was moved twice by Slidell resulting in multiple damages or total losses of furniture and electronics.Upon filing claims I was either completely rejected or presented with fractions of actual values. Claims average 4 months to be resolved. Communication from Slidell is non-existing. If not contacted from your side don't expect to hear anything from them.AVOID them at all cost

I can't begin to adequately express how disrespectfully our belongings were treated during our move. On top of nearly every piece of furniture arriving damaged, our belongings were quite literally just tossed and dumped into boxes. A box (already contained...) of our son's newborn and NICU items was carelessly dumped into a giant box of other items. Some pieces are still nowhere to be found, and irreplaceable. The original box? Nowhere to be seen. Countless boxes were unnecessarily mixed, pieces of our lawnmower? In a kitchen box. Fragile ceramic dishes? Tossed carelessly in giant boxes unwrapped, coordinating pieces in different room boxes. Espresso machine? Disassembled and split over three boxes for no reason. Homeschooling craft supplies? Emptied from their containers and dumped freely in boxes, now needing to be fully resorted and contained. Unpacking has become an insanely frustrating process trying to find our items, only to find they have been dumped out of original containers/packaging and/or broken. The disrespect from the packing/loading team is astonishing and disappointing. We have moved with professional movers previously and the experience was nothing like what we've experienced with Slidell moving, this company and team should be ashamed of the "service" they provided.

These guys destroyed, lost, or stole over $12,000 of my mother's possessions. It's been seven months and I'm still fighting them for a dime, despite having paid for "full coverage" insurance with them. They are legally required to pay within 90 days of the claim being filed, but it's of no concern to them. Now I'm having to talk to lawyers. Beyond unethical business practices, these people are inhumane. My mother passed away four months after the move. She never got to enjoy her new home, because all of her beloved furniture was destroyed, and Slidell wouldn't make good on repairing or replacing it. Not so much as an apology from anyone over it.

I want to thank Slidell Moving and Michael Jore and team for a great move in December 2021! I am retired military and had two family overseas moves to France and Germany and four CONUS moves and this was the best that I and family have ever experienced. The packing team that also transported the household items to my new home in Texas did a wonderful, and thorough job. They are the best! Harty Van, LTC US Army retired; EH&S Mgr. Amoco Offshore Business Unit, New Orleans, La. retired.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They have absolute no regard for your property and don’t even offer as much as an apology when they lose your furniture. They are unresponsive when trying to contact them and will promise call backs and never return your call. After 3 weeks of patiently waiting and hoping they could find my furniture they couldn’t even call to say they didn’t and instead responded my email that I should just go ahead and make an insurance claim. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

I’d like to start by saying I hate having to give this review. The main reason is because the whole experience wasn’t a complete disaster. However, the main element was how our things were packed that ruined it for me. To give some backstory, we are a military family and we have moved numerous times throughout the years. This was the first time that our military move was scheduled with Slidell Moving and also the first time where one day they would send someone to pack everything and then come back to pick everything up 2 days later. The two women who came to pack out things were very nice, however, they did a terrible job packing. It wasn’t until we got to our new state/duty station that I realized how bad it was. The biggest issue was our clothing. Everything was pulled out of dresser drawers and tossed/mixed up in separate boxes. Every other move we’ve done they would keep everything in the drawers and the wrap the dresser with plastic wrap to make sure nothing came out. So we are left with re-sorting tons of clothes and undergarments that were already sorted for the move. 2nd issue was that we weren’t allowed to have any open bottles packed, that’s fine, however after getting to our new location we noticed they ended up packing some open bottles and they had spilled out. They also removed every battery from every remote and did god knows what with them. They did not set them aside in a bag and give them to us. They didn’t bring enough wardrobe boxes so all of my sons clothes were piled in a box. They used a big box to pack a single shower curtain and stuffed it with packing paper, seemed like a huge waste to me. Things were just all out of order as well. We made sure to tip everyone that was involved with our move and fed them so I was just disappointed that care wasn’t taken when packing. Hopefully, the company can improve on training the employees on how to pack more efficiently.

Consider yourself warned if you read this review and then go ahead and allow Slidell Moving to handle your belongings. We've moved several times, and this was by-far the worst experience we ever had. Slidell Moving was the contracted carrier to move my household goods as part of a military move. The deceit started with the packers who marked every single item as dented, scratched, badly worn, etc. They even did this on brand new items. There is no other reason to lie in this manner except to protect themselves when they later break your items. Our packing was scheduled to be 2 days. However, we were told by the packers that they are forced by the owner to pack quickly and move on to another job, despite being scheduled for 2 days. They said the owner will fire anyone who doesn't do this. When they loaded the truck, the owner told us it would be a direct delivery, meaning the truck was immediately enroute to my new home. This turned out to be a lie because they stored the truck in a hot, humid, non-climate-controlled location for 3 weeks in the dead of summer. Next, they lied about the weight. When loaded, we were told the weight was around 17k. Later, the company lied and said it was 19k. This was an obvious deceit to defraud more money out of the government. When the truck finally arrived, it was a different truck than what was originally loaded. All of our belongings were carelessly loaded into another truck with heavy items sitting on top of fragile items. Several items of value, and high sentimental value, were carelessly packed without proper padding. An irreplaceable wedding cake stand and a large, 6' tall model ship were destroyed despite us telling the packers how important those items were to us. In the end, we received over $30,000 in damages. We reached out to the owner, Roger, who turned out to be a complete j*** of a human being. He was rude and crude on the phone and did not care about the damage his company did. He spoke to my wife in a manner that no real man would ever do. Furthermore, he rudely said he does not care about negative reviews and said "that's why I have insurance." As I said in the opening, you've been warned.
