If you want to pay more than you have ever paid and receive mediocre service use this place. Just repeated terrible experiences over and over until I finally got smart and switched. Do yourself a favor and avoid them.

The vets were terrific, very professional, caring and attentive with our 5 year old lab and our 14.5 year old cat. Unfortunately this clinic charges almost double what other vets in the area charge for certain treatments. We called 3 other vets in the area and asked them what they would charge for the same treatment and all vets would charge half the amount, as did our old vet in another state. Since we need the allergy shot monthly, we called the office manager at the Pontchartrain Animal Hospital to let them know what others are charging and see if maybe they had inadvertantly over charged for the allergy shot. The office manager did not care at all and we were told that if we could find it cheaper elsewhere to go there. We are a retired couple on a fixed income and have spent approximately $2000 at the clinic in the past six months to get vaccinations updated and establish with new vets. We mistakenly thought that the office manager would at least look into the matter. My husband and I feel this treatment was very unprofessional and find no other option than to secure the services of another vet. Very unfortunate since the vets here are so good.

We used this clinic because it was convenient. The vets here appear to be good however their prices here are absolutely outrageous and well above what is being charged elsewhere in the community. Just one example is where they charge $342 for an allergy shot for our dog compared to $173 at another vet in the area. That's almost 100% more! I suggest talking about price and compare around before you commit going to this place.I strongly recommend going anywhere else and only hope my review here has resulted in that.

Love Pontchartrain Animal Hospital! The vets and staff there take such good care of my fur babies! And I board mygirls there and the staff goes the extra mile! When one of my dogs did not eat while being boarded, the staff hand fed her ... that is love!

Unprofessional owner & Unprofessional Office manager. I never received a phone call or certified mail notifying me that I was no longer a patient. I've been a patient for almost 6yrs. I called to schedule an appointment, and was then told l was fired as a patient. The office manager refused my request to mail all medical records to my home. This clinic condones the horrible attitude and actions a few employees, and would rather fire the patient, and not address the problem.

We have been going to Pontchartrain Animal Hospital for 25+ years. They have taken care of so many members of our family. And that's how they treat our babies and us - like family. They go the extra mile, they think outside the box, they take great care of our babies and of us. I can't recommend them enough. Truly.

Always the best of care and service for my precious pets, Callie and Ringo. Every vet we've seen has been exceptional and every member of the staff are all so thoughtful and helpful. Highly recommend.

My dog feels so comfortable when she gets out the car and walks to the door it's almost like she's at her second home. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, but mostly professional by displaying their professionalism and concerns you might have. I love this place.

From the front desk to lab to surgery and veterinarian every single person was caring and very knowledgeable. They made my big scared Doberman comfortable and he did so good during his stay. Thank you to everyone anakin appreciates your kindness ! As well as I do . I highly suggest anyone to bring your pet to this veterinarian office , you won't be disappointed!

I used Pontchartrain Animal Hospital for boarding for the very first time this past week. Fantastic for boarding. Great staff. Superb service. Afforable rates. Does not get any better than this! When I picked Baine up, I was given a summary on the visit. I highly recommend this hospital for all your needs.

I have taken my animals to this clinic since arriving in Slidell in 2012, after having made various appointments with other clinics in the area to compare. The care at this clinic is as good as it gets, they treat the family as well as the pet. I have seen several of the veterinarians in this practice and they all explain things well and work very diligently to diagnose and treat the issue. Fast forward to today, I recently sought their assistance in helping my aged pet from his worn out body. The kindness and care each member of the staff showed helped to make a very difficult decision a bit easier to face. Veterinarians and their staff do so very much for us and our animals for far less monetary reward then their physician counterparts. It is truly their calling and passion and knowing I have them available to me when the need arises is a great comfort. Thank you all from the front staff and the back I have so many individual stories I could share of the kindnesses shown me over my many visits with my multiple dogs.

The staff at Pontchartrain Animal Hospital go above and beyond in their treatment of my fur baby ( and myself by proxy). I brought my cat(dog) into their vet on short notice and they were able to see us no problem. When my pet's test results weren't great, they called my cell immediately and had me bring her back in and hospitalized her to monitor her situation. They called me no less than twice a day with her progress and made time (on my schedule) for to sit and visit with her as long as I needed to while she was there overnights. After she was released I received calls to check on her. The staff treat you like family and when I was a sobbing mess bringing my pet in for her treatment, they were nothing but kind, generous, and made sure I knew she was in good hands. And she was. Nothing but love and great things to say about the doctors and staff at PAS.
