Man; I've been in slidell nearly 6 years, and today was my first time visiting here. Exceptionally clean and fully stocked. LOOK ALL IMA SAY IS IM NEVER GOING TO WALMART AND FROM NOW ON I WILL BE GETTING ALL MY STUFF FROM HERE. Seasoned meat, butchery , seasoning... I haven't even mentioned the freshest fruits and vegetables... needless to say if you are looking dor dragonfruit or exotic fruits etc. They have it! This place is the mini market Walmart for Hispanic and Latinos. However, I'll be doing all my grocery shopping here from now on. And besides, I'd rather spend hard earned money with hard-working people.custome service is amazing, and the deals of the day of the week. I mean, I could talk days on this place, especially since it was my first day, but if you don't know now, you know! If you don't go, don't worry, I'm gonna be there weekly! the best meat prices and the kitchen is authentic and has extremely great food!

Mostly Mexican food. Will go back again. Foods were foreign to me but I am interested in trying some. Meat department was fantastic! Today was my second visit. Meat department still great and this time bought some tasty food in the deli ?

Latin grocery - probably the largest in Slidell - with a decent selection of goods. In produce they have stuff like yellow yams, jicama, fresh chickpeas, and cactus fruit. They have bins of loose dry beans, tamarind, hibiscus, and more you can bag yourself. There are some shelves of pastries in the back by the butcher counter. The butcher is worth noting because it was pretty cheap, or at least the chicken was: drumsticks $0.59/lb, leg quarters on special for $0.49/lb. The meat is not pre-packaged, so if you wanted to buy just one drumstick you could. Spanish seems the primary language - obviously - but they understood my pathetic "cuarto pieces" request.There is also a food counter with some plastic tables set up as a dining area. I didn't see a menu, but I didn't look too hard. Food looked pretty good.Easy enough to get to, shares a sizable parking lot, worth checking out.
