One of my favorite places on Earth! The books are very well organized by genres and if I can't find something I just ask and I have helped immediately and with a friendly attitude and the prices are reasonable as well!

Great people here. Very helpful finding a book I wanted. We were told if you shop there with a child, the child gets a free book. They are also pet friendly.

As a connoisseur of used book stores, Mary Lou’s Book Sac ranks high on my list of favorites. The store is well organized by genre. There is a wealth of books available for those that favor romance, mystery, religion, history, science fiction and much more. Ms. Mary Lou is very knowledgeable and very helpful. While browsing, another customer came in to purchase summer reading books. Ms. Mary Lou was kind and patient as the parent inquired about each book on her list. She was able to purchase over half of the books in her list. I, too, walked out a satisfied customer. I was able to obtain books for my test prep tutoring service and for my husband who teaches Senior English. I will be returning.

Me and my partner come here quite often. Wonderful place to be, nice selection and have always been treated very nicely. Much rather come here than any chain stores!

There is an enormous amount of books in this store, both new and used. The lady, Mrs. Mary Lou does a wonderful job and probably has anything you can think of, or can get it for you. I overheard her speak to a young lady about home school books and text book from schools, and she said while so many kids came in before the pandemic, especially hone schoolers, but just don't anymore. And as I listen to some more, it became clear to me that she is in desperate need of sales. She will wind up like many cherished places if our community fails to help her.So, please, visit her store atMary Lou's Book Sac1234 Bayou In.Slidell, LA.Everyone can find a book they will enjoy. Even if you buy very little , or nothing at all, Mrs. Mary Lou will welcome you personally, and she will be happy to jave you visit. But I am asking you all, please buy something. She needs our help.
