“We buy plants from here as well as a few local places. Feed and seed usually has a few things only the nursery has. Plants are always well watered and healthy (unlike other places). I would recommend checking them out if you want to start plants instead of from seed.”

Ace Hardware on Pontchartrain is truly a neighborhood treasure. Every time I stop by — whether it’s for a quick DIY fix, garden supplies, or something I didn’t even know I needed — they always have it. The store is well-organized, fully stocked, and easy to navigate.
What really sets this Ace apart is the staff. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help without being pushy. Whether I need help finding the right tool, matching paint, or troubleshooting a project, they always take the time to make sure I leave with exactly what I need.
You can tell they care about the community and take pride in what they do. It’s the kind of local service you just don’t get at the big box stores.

“Just moved to the area, and this Lowes shocked me. The pickup process was smooth, I didn't know what to do, but help was offered immediately upon entering. I came back a few days later to buy a refrigerator. We had Khai J. help us, and they were really knowledgeable and helpful. We were paying with Progressive Financing and just knew it would be difficult. They made it easy and were able to explain the need for a service plan. They also explained in detail how the shipping and delivery would work. The excellent customer service was greatly appreciated. The store is well stocked and clean, and the online locations are correct for where the item is placed in the store. Also, employees don't just walk by you the acknowledge you, and ensure you find everything needed. Sad to say the register and I were having problems(press cash and it lights up where to put) and that attendant help quickly as well. Great experiences 3x thus far in one week.”

“This place is first class! I am a DIYer.As long as I can give them a model number and explain what I need they have helped me find everything. Today topped that looked them up on Google and only saw the open tab, got to the store about 15 min before they actually opened. When I walked in the guy was setting up the register and told me they were not opened, then asked what I needed. He went on the floor found what I needed as soon as the computer woke up he pulled up a part, we waited for the CC machine to get up and running and I was still out 10 min before the shop was supposed to open…Awesome guys here!”
