“This is my 5th or 6th time renting at the Slidell location and I love it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The manager, Dalan ( not sure of spelling) was just amazing from his phone call to me to confirm my reservation to helping at the rental location. I plan to be back in the area in a few months and I will definitely be back to rentanother car.”

“Didn't have a car so I ended up with a SUV. I was really looking forward to getting something that was good on gas but, that didn't happen. The 2022 Kia Sorrento was the only car available at the time. Overall it worked out as it was decent on gas mileage. Windshield wipers needed to be replaced. Those are the reasons for 4 stars.”

“Rented a minivan from the Canal St New Orleans Budget location to drive to Slidell for a swamp tour. Immediately after leaving from the swamp tour the tire on the rental started to go flat. Called the Canal St location because I thought they could offer some assistance. I purchased the $30/day full coverage and incorrectly assumed that covered roadside assistance issues. The rep from the Canal St location was rude and offered me absolutely no sort of assistance as to what I should do. I called the Slidell location thinking maybe they could help and I could swap out vehicles or something. Shawn was awesome! He said there were no other vehicles available to swap but if we could get air in it and get it to him he would try to patch up the tire. Luckily we were only 2.5 miles away and made it to Shawn who saved the day. He patched up the tire and showed us the huge chunk of metal that we apparently ran over. Because of Shawn we made it to the airport just in time to make out flight. Not only was Shawn a lifesaver for us, he was so kind and happy to help us. He easily could’ve gave me the old “not my problem/there’s nothing I can do” line, but instead he went above and beyond. We really wanted to give him a tip because we were so grateful for him, but he wouldn’t even take it. Budget is lucky to have such an awesome employee to represent their company. “Had a wonderful experience at this Hertz HLE location. I've rented from many Hertz locations, and this was by far the best experience I've had. I was initially renting from a New Orleans HLE location, but did not have a good experience there. I instead made the drive out to Slidell to this location, which was the best decision I could have made. Specifically, I worked with Jamesha Simon and Jenese -- both were incredible kind, hospitable, and helpful. They helped me get into the car I wanted very quickly and did so with southern charm. I would return to this location again in the future, despite it being much further away from me than the other locations.Thank you!”
