Very friendly staff! Very helpful. They helped me with something I was looking for & although it took a little longer than expected (not their fault) they went above & beyond to make sure I was happy when I left & accommodated me in the best way they could. I have gone to a few pawn shops lately & it is the first one I walked in, almost immediately purchased, & walked out happy. Highly recommend!

I used to buy all my guns and accessories here at the Slidell location. I also enjoyed their power tool selection for many years. But now customer service seems to be at an all time low here at Bayou Pawn. I referred a friend of mine to purchase a firearm there "new". When she got there they talked her into the same firearm but used. Assuring her it works as it should. After getting it home it would hardly chamber a round. The clip would only lock into place if slammed in and was near impossible to disassemble and reassemble. I took her back up to the store in Slidell, they were hesitant to refund the money she had spent just an hour prior. They only offered a gift card. They said they could have a new fire arm sent from the baton rouge location in 1 week. We are now in week 3 and we are still waiting. I would not recommend Bayou pawn shop to anyone, they just arent what they used to be. And the heavy set gentleman with the Elvis sideburns is very disengaged and sort of a know it all, doesn't listen, patronizing comments and does not communicate very well with customers as the older Gentleman has all the customer skills for sure.. I would try Pawn Depot before these guys.
