“If you are trying to rent a car in Shreveport, good luck getting any help on Shreveport-Barksdale Hwy. or at the Business Park location off Bert Koons. They never have cars and appear to be just sitting around shooting the breeze with each other. At the Bert Koons location, there is a crowd every time I go there just hoping to get a car - right next door is an Enterprise Used Car Lot FULL OF CARS. Why not rent some of those out, Enterprise?

I had a completely different experience at the Monkhouse location, it is worth the effort to get out there. Keindra, Kennington and James all were helpful, efficient and patient and there was only one other person waiting while I was there - not the unhappy crowd you find at other locations. It's worth the effort to go to this location.”

“I've been renting with National the last few months at this location for work so I have an extensive pool of data to review from so we'll start with the positive. The National cars I've had here have been pretty clean, well kept, and I don't recall ever getting one that smelled like smoke. The staff is always fairly friendly and willing to help with any issues you may have. I haven't ran into any issues thus far with the hours the booth currently operates. When I had a delayed flight due to weather and arrived late around 9:30-10 PM they were still open and had cars available.
Negatives that reflect my opinion. Even though national does have a larger selection of nicer vehicles nationwide, at the smaller locations (not just here) your member status seems pointless. As an Elite Executive Member I've been between SHV and BTR most recently. I've only received a status upgrade twice at SHV and once was because the car I originally had been given had a flat tire in the parking lot. I understand if they're already rented out it is what it is, but it seems pointless to have status and never get to utilize it week after week. It often seems it's just that smaller branch teams preference not to upgrade members. The last pain point for National as a whole is it's often more expensive then it's competitors. When compared to someone like Avis, they are often about $60-$100 more for the same vehicle class but it can vary by location.”

“So thrifty was closed so Hertz did help me get out of my stupid EV car that was costing me an arm and a leg and making my trip go four days to go to New Mexico. The lady worked extra hard when she did not have a car to get me a car and she is amazing”

Helpful, positive, problem solver who went above and beyond to ease the stress of a mom on a road trip from Dallas to Pensacola with not only a fellow mom and son but also her son with disabilities. Car broken down near Caddo Lake with no rent car to be found on a Saturday afternoon. Guardian Angel Felicia is caring, dedicated, and appreciated for helping this mom feel less desperate and stranded in Louisiana on a special and rare moms/sons beach vacation! Felicia, the Queen of Customer Service!”

“After having a Terrible experience at Enterprise on Shreveport-Barksdale Hwy, my husband contacted Hertz Rental on Youree Drive. They promised us a car the next day. When we arrived the next day, we were greeted with a smile and the lady was Very helpful!! She made sure our car was cleaned and ready on time. We Love the service at Hertz on Youree and are enjoying the car. We will make this our car rental “go to” place from now on. We Highly recommend Hertz Rental on Youree!!”

“The purpose of this review is to commend Renee', the front desk attendant @ the counter inside the airport. Heretofore I have had good service with this facility, & I have always found Renee' & other counter personnel to be professional & helpful. However, approximately one month ago, my friend reserved an automobile @ least 2 weeks in advance. We waited for over an hour for him to receive his vehicle, and other individuals ahead of him in line had similar long waits.
Renee' was the only attendant @ the counter, & she tried mightily to get assistance from & communicate with the crew who cleaned & readied the cars. It was quite easy to tell that they had no motivation or inclination to assist her in trying to get keys & vehicles into customers' hands. After all, they weren't the ones under fire so to speak.
Some customers became understandably angry, & Renee', who was being professional & kind throughout, was left being the one who had to take the anger & discourtesy from customers. This seems to me to be a management and/or corporate matter, one that could be remedied by having @ least 2 people @ the counter. It could also be handled more serviceably if the cleaning crew had some training in accountability & teamwork.
I applaud Renee', as well as the good service I received heretofore. However, had I been Renee', I wouldn't have been able to deal with the untenable situations she had been placed in without walking out. I hope she is compensated & credited accordingly.”
