They were no shows. One star for Mr. Danny Cannon, who is now retired.

This is literally the first negative review that I felt so compelled to share publicly. In my estimation this experience was outrageously bad.I called Cannon Services to repair a commercial freezer. They arrived promptly the same day which led me to feel hopeful that they were going to handle the problem with ease. The technician was on site for less than 2 hours. During that time, he ran tests and repeatedly made phone calls with questions to whoever he was speaking with. This was giving me a bit of concern. He ultimately told me the compressor need to be replaced and that it would probably be cheaper for me to just get a new freezer. He said that he would get me a quote for the cost to repair/replacement of the compressor. To date, I have never received a quote.37 days later I finally received an invoice charging me for 2.5 hours of labor at $89 per hour. Knowing full well that he was here less than 2 hours I contacted Cannon Services and they informed me that the bill was correct because they charge for the travel to and from the job site (All at the same labor rate). Interestingly enough their website clearly states that they DO NOT charge for travel if the job site is within 30 minutes of any of their service hubs. My kitchen is only 6.1 miles from their Shreveport office. So not only did my freezer go unrepaired or even a quote to repair it. I was billed $243 in labor which apparently included 30 minutes of full labor rate for travel even though their own website says they don't. I have reluctantly sent payment but you can be absolutely certain that I will never seek their services again and will highly encourage others in my industry to do the same.UPDATE: I received a phone call today 03/15/22 to "explain" their billing. Well, this has only made matters worse. Turns out that they don't charge for travel if you are within 30 minutes from the service hub, just like the website says. What they do is charge you travel time from the location of the technician to your location. Of course, you have no idea where that is so they can claim any location on the map. Moreover, the travel rate you are charged is the actual labor rate of $89 per hour calculated on the half hours. So even if he is across the street, at a minimum you will be charged $44.50 on top of the minimum 1-hour service call time. Simply put, it's going to cost you $133.50 at a minimum for them to show up and shake your hand. Talk about profit being made off the backs of businesses! I have no doubt that the larger companies with deeper pockets simply pay the bill without scrutiny, I am sure they count on that. I also have no doubt that come tax season the accumulated miles are being claimed at the standard government rate on top of what they scraped in driving to service calls. So if you value your money the way I do and have a repair need for your equipment, I strongly encourage you to search for someone other than Cannon. I know I absolutely will never do business with them regardless of how pressing the need may be.Service: Freezer repair
