Sadly had to go to Walmart to purchase my water, and a bottle of wine. The nice young man assigned to the self check out was unable to approve my wine. I waited but apparently everyone was busy elsewhere. When the person assigned to self check out can't authorize alcohol, the customer needs to be directed to a register. Although Its possible the girl at the register couldn't ring up alcohol either.

At 6:25 I went to get some meat cut at the deli which I do often. The employee ignored me until 6:45 at which point he told me he was closed. I know they are supposed to slice meat until 7 so I got the manager. She asked him to cut the meat he refused again so she just told me I am sorry he won't cut it. Nothing was done I left without my meat. ?

I've never felt so uncomfortable that I had anxiety so bad I had to go out to my truck and take my medication. The elderly lady in the self checkout made me feel like I was not welcome in that store. The entire staff made me feel that way. With one register open, I reluctantly went to self checkout. She stood in my personal space, watching over my shoulder. Unwilling to help when the machine misread something I was doing. It's just unprofessional. As I stated to her, I don't work at Brookshires. I work hard for my money every day. And I dont expect to be treated that way when im going somewhere to spend money. Other staff members are gawking at us. After I was done checking out, I was ready to pay, and the lady was nowhere to be found.. a minute later, she appeared to clear my purchase and let me know that management was just "over there" if i wanted to speak to someone.. i let her know i didn't ask to speak to her manager and thanked her for HARD work, and walked out. I was shaking by the time we left. Racism does go all sorts of different ways.

Does it seem outside the realm of expectations that the designated employee (s) or staff in stores or businesse be available in a timely manner to assist customers? An experience early this afternoon at Brookshires, 3620 Pines Rd., Shreveport, leads one to wonder. Intentional verbal rudeness on the part of specific managerial staff on duty in saying "she'll be right there", then again in aheightened voice all at the time when asked if anyone was working in the area adds to the bewilderment . This is definitely and certainly not "okay" , neither expected. With the manager being over-heard to rudely say "I guess she think. . .", referring to a customer question, seems to indicate this is thought to be an acceptable response for both she and the designated employee assigned to the "Service Desk". Being put in the position of standing in line and waiting for service an unusual amount if timewith no one on site neither observed to be walking in the direction seems "a bit much". Observing and looking around several times to see if anyone was coming was not helpful . Out of the three customers waiting in line, one left the line. Another (I myself) left the store and the third customer was still in line, but appeared to have started "observing".
