Today I went into this Boost Mobile store to get a SIM card for my phone after calling the company last night who told me that I needed to buy one in person to activate my phone. I pull up and there's a truck in front of the building with a man standing near the passenger side and a person standing by the door. I walk into the facility and am standing there for about 2 minutes before two gentlemen walk inside. One of them greets me and asks ' How can I help you? ', I answer him by telling him I needed to buy a SIM card, he then responds with ' Okay, I can help you. I just need to help him first. ' Referring to the other gentlemen, I was annoyed as I already waiting inside to find no employee but I said okay and kept myself busy looking at phone cases on the wall. About 5-8 minutes later, the other guy leaves and he asks again ' How can I help you? ' I repeat my initial request ' I need to buy a SIM card. ' He says okay and asks me an array of questions before telling me that the total cost for a SIM CARD and for him to activate my phone in store would cost $56 DOLLARS. (Yes, you read that right.) As soon as I heard this, I immediately knew something wasn't right because the company had just told me via customer service that all I needed was a SIM card. He also proceeded to tell me that I would be ' wasting my money ' by just buying the SIM card and nothing else. He asked me what phone I would be putting the SIM card in and I told him my iPhone XR, he then proceeded to say that my phone was ' old ' and that I should upgrade and that it would ONLY cost $86 dollars to start a payment plan with the most condescending and rude tone in his voice. I declined ALL his very annoying and obnoxious offers of up-selling before letting him know very politely that I would return at a later time. Because I wasn't expecting to have to pay $56 for a Sim card and it's activation. Before leaving he asked me ' How much did I EXPECT it to cost? ' and I responded ' Not that much. ' but thinking about it now my response should've been ' Not 56 damn dollars, that's for sure. ' But anyway, I felt the need to share this message because this is an example of salesmanship gone wrong. You should never as an employee of a business prioritize your personal benefits over a customer needs. This guy was very rude and is honestly the main reason I won't be returning to this location for a very long time. I ended up going to another Boost Mobile location on 2517 Hollywood Ave, where the guy inside got me the SIM card that I needed for only $10.00 upon walk in and accessed my account in less than 5 minutes flat. $10 is the average cost of a sim card most of the time if you have to pay for it AT ALL. So beware of this location because currently the person they have working there, a hispanic gentleman with a high fade, is not garnering a good experience, and made today very awkward for me as as 10+ year customer of Boost.

Scam . Scam . I had service with them last year and they told me I didn't pay my first month's bill when I did . They kept adding more charges to my account. The phone I had was cut off in one day. I would not recommend getting their services. The customer representatives are foreigners and they Scam you out of your money too . I did not get my money's worth with boost mobile. They canceled my service for no reason when I paid the first month's bill. They are trash. Don't waste your time folks .

I dont recommend working for these people. They pay you $8 per hour and expect you to manage their store .Open to close 6 days a week. 9am to 7pm.They want bilingual people but they dont want to pay for it. "Commission" is 15% of total sales for the month BUT only on accessories. Not on cell phones.Beware. After 10 days of training or about 25 hours they leave you by yourself so you can figure out how to do activations, upgrades on devices etc etc.
