Very professional, thorough, and cost estimate was right on point. Movers were efficient and on time.

We recently relocated from Shreveport, Louisiana, to Woodbury, Minnesota, and chose Allied Van Lines in Shreveport for our move. The entire experience with their team was outstanding. From the initial visit for the survey and estimate by Jennifer Wilson, we were impressed by her genuine, considerate, and professional approach. We felt confident in her services, as she never pressured us to avoid exploring other companies. Jennifer was thorough with all the details and maintained regular communication throughout the moving process, providing updates and seeking feedback about the team involved in loading and unloading our belongings.
The moving team was efficient, courteous, and quick with their work. Despite our concerns about the cost, the final bill was lower than the estimate, with no hidden charges, allowing us to save money. Most importantly, all our belongings arrived in pristine condition. We are grateful to Jennifer and the entire team at Allied Van Lines for making our move smooth and stress-free.

I am totally satisfied with our recent Allied move. Everyone involved did an excellent job. The office agent Jennifer answered all my questions, gave me an accurate and complete estimate, and was able to deftly coordinate our move over the Christmas holidays so that it coincided with an apartment 1200 miles away becoming vacant. The driver, Bernard Hudson, was a pleasure to work with. He is obviously very experienced, and did a great job of directing the load / unload crews at each end of the move. He kept me informed as to his progress on the road, and arrived on the promised date and time. The price was actually a bit under the quoted estimate, with no surprises or "gotcha's" at all.All of our possessions were removed from the house in Louisiana and delivered to our new apartment in Michigan, with nothing missing or damaged. The moving crew members did a superb job as well. There was not a single scratch or ding on the property we vacated, or in the new apartment we moved to. We have made two previous long distance moves, but this one was the smoothest and least stressful. My wife and I would unequivocally recommend the Allied company and driver Bernard Hudson to anyone planning a long distance move.

The Allied Van Lines team in Shreveport took a highly stressful time and made it almost worry free. From the in-home evaluation of weight to the regular communication of next steps to the very efficient driver and helper, it was as smooth as it could have been.

Unprofessional, rude, and damaged multiple items during my move. I would not recommend to anyone.

They guys (on both ends of the move) were nice, on time, fun to interact with and did a good job and the manager was readily available for questions or issues. The lower star rating comes in part due something out of their control but still relates to our experiemce. The larger Allied truck broke down son they had to get a similar Uhaul.... turns out the Uhual was a little smaller and all our items couldnt fit. This wasnt a big deal bc they were just goimg to get a pull behind trailer for the rest. Well, apparently the only one available wasnt big enough. They managed to get it loaded and you could tell they were as frustrated at the situation as I and some of the things seems wedged/forced into place. Nothing however was broken...few knicks a s scrapes on some things but nothing major and not due to neglect. This also put us behind schedule on moveout day but in moving sometimes things happen. If not for the larger truck breaking down and related issues I'd have given 4 stars.

The WORST move of my life. We hired Central Herrin for packing and moving for two houses that were being combined into one new home. They offered us additional moving insurance and we decided to add it. The packers packed up multiple boxes that included way more packing paper than needed so that some boxes were 80% paper so that they could charge us for more boxes than necessary. They wrapped non-breakable items like stuffed animals with tons of paper while leaving breakable items unprotected. They also left quite a few items unpacked, which means the movers left them behind and we had to move them ourselves. The movers showed up the next day and damaged or destroyed multiple items. Our kitchen island was carried out and loaded onto the truck upside down so that the entire top was ripped from the cabinet. The back of our sewing machine cabinet was ripped off. Pieces were broken off our treadmill and sewing machine. They scratched the front of our stainless-steel fridge and damaged several other items. We moved on 3/15/22. We filed the claim with Emily at Central Herrin on 4/4/22 who the took nearly a month to process it. When that finally contacted us to let us know the claim was ready for payment, they lowballed us by over $200 because they only processed the 1st page of the claim and ignored the 2nd page! Emily then forwarded the claim to their insurance company which took another 2 months to process the claim. They contacted us on 6/27/22 with the total they were paying for damages and told us that Central Herrin would be sending a check, which never came. At one point, Emily told us (after dodging our phone calls and failing to return calls) that the check had been put in the mail “last week”. We then learned from their insurance company a couple weeks late that she informed them that she had been sick and would be mailing the check soon. We still haven’t sorted out which version of that story is accurate. FINALLY, on 8/10/22 we were informed that the check had been returned in the mail because they insurance company gave Central Herrin the wrong ZIP code for our address, the address the Central Herrin MOVED US TO. TLDR; Central Herrin dramatically overcharged us for packing, destroyed multiple items, and them took 130 days to pay out on our insurance claim.
