weird experience, I had the opportunity to arrive extremely exhausted and was greeted by a very particular young man with glasses. He did not recognize me as a diamond member, nor did he offer me if he wanted a gift of the property or the amenity points, which I had to demand and indicate that he should ask me what I wanted. When I got to my room the air conditioning was not working, I went down to the front desk and asked for a change, strangely the young man knew what the problem was and refused to change the room, I waited for him to dismantle the air conditioning and he even asked me for a tool. I told him that I didn't want the room for the second time, I insisted and after making dirty faces he left the room upset and talking to me with his back turned. When I received my room again I had to request a change again. This is an unpleasant experience, typical acts of an econolodge or super 8 hotel. I disagree with how the events were raised to be able to resolve my problem. I'll appreciate michelle tyler ( general manager), demetrius dexier (front desk manager)and robin byler (director of sales) pay atention to this public complaint. This is holiday inn, please make it look like and feel like.

Carlene was super friendly and knew how to take care of us. Breakfast could be improved by providing better quality food. Add simple scrambled eggs, better tasting biscuits and gravy. Breakfast serving area was way too small. Not sure if serving milk from a gallon jug is hygienic.Rooms: Very nice to have ceiling fan. Handle on shower was very loose. Water was hot and towels were clean.

Location is great, right off I-10. Close to Lafayette. Rooms clean and neatly laid out. Breakfast was surprisingly really good and a lot of variety.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times and it hasn't disappointed me. The rooms are always clean and I love the fact that they have ceiling fans in the room. I get hot at night so the ceiling fan is a huge plus. Breakfast is always great and hot! The do have a washer and dryer for guests also.Heads up there are no vending machines at this hotel but they do have snacks and sodas at the front for sale at a mark up of course.

Perfect hotel for when you need to be in the area for work or need to take a break on your road trip. Friendly staff and easy check-in made me feel welcome right away. Because of the price and 2-star rating, I wasn't expecting much, but the room was great. Ideal for a one - or two night business trip. The rooms were updated and clean. The bathroom was fine, nothing special but good. The facilities and breakfast were okay.

The maid came in the room, left a note saying their no touch policy wouldn't let them make the beds but they didn't take out the trash, only swapped out the soiled towels and such. There are a lot of things about the hotel that say people are only doing the bare minimum to get by.The lids of the hot breakfast items won't stay propped up, the door catch isn't installed properly enabling housekeeping to come in while you're sleeping despite being thrown - guess how I found that out (the door is even marred showing it's been like that for a long while.) lots of spots throughout the hotel that haven't been cleaned well in a while - corners behind doors, small niches the vacuum doesn't easily reach.Definitely not a bad place to stay. The service is fantastic. (Minus housekeeping barging in)Food & drinks: Breakfast buffet over the weekend is kind of lacking, definitely not near as we stocked as the weekend was.

The room was very well laid out with plenty of space for suitcases and personal belongings. The room and bathroom were clean. Very good stay overall. Our kiddo was disappointed that the pancake machine was not working, but the breakfast was still great.

My family and I had an absolutely horrible experience at the Scott Louisiana Holiday Inn.Our bathroom in room 108 had multiple leftover hairs from previous guests - on the tub, shower wall, behind the shampoo bottle hanging from the shower wall, on the counter.... Absolutely disgusting.Aside from the dirty bathroom, we are appalled at the general manager's behavior Sunday (day of the Scott Mardi Gras parade), as well as numerous members of her staff.First, we were aggressively confronted in the hotel parking lot by a man open carrying a gun, who is not an employee of the hotel - he stated that his wife works at the hotel, which gives this man zero authority to interact with paying customers. He later stated the hotel "had hired him as security for the parade", but that seems unlikely. Further, has he had any training on security? Is he insured? Seems like a huge risk for IHG, should something happen involving him. He told us check out was at 11 and that meant our cars needed to be out of the hotel parking lot by 11. What kind of hotel makes their guests leave the entire premises by check-out time, that is absolutely absurd and unheard of? We had no problem checking out of our room by 11, but we had planned to keep our car parked at the hotel while we attended a FAMILY Mardi Gras parade passing in front of the hotel. We had stayed two nights and spent over $275 with the hotel, and were in disbelief that we could not leave our car there for a few hours past check out time.I was also not informed of this ridiculous "policy" until aggressively approached by this man - no one informed me of this policy at check in, and it is not documented anywhere on my reservation. He told me to take up my concerns with the General Manager.I approached a lady who I thought was the General Manager, turned out it was this man's mother in law. I started asking questions about the parking lot policy, and the man quickly cut me off to tell me she wasn't the General Manager (okay, fine), but then told me he was calling the police and then told me "f**k you" after I told him he is not an employee and has no authority in the situation.I moved on to the actual General Manager who was standing nearby. When I approached the general manager with questions and concerns about this parking lot policy I had never heard of, her and another heavyset employee said they were calling the police on us.... On a FAMILY attending a parade. What a strange response, where is the customer service???? There was ZERO. This woman needs some training, or how about a new job because hotel general manager is clearly not what she excels at. Customers are allowed to have concerns and are allowed to express those concerns to hotel management to work through them. That is not what occurred in this situation. To that same point, I am a gold elite member - shouldn't I have received late check out privileges? No one offered that as a solution.Instead of paying hotel guests being able to use the parking lot, employee's friends and family were parking there for the parade instead. An employee's husband and mother were both able to park in the lot for the parade, but not my family who were paying customers. As we were leaving the lobby of the hotel at checkout, we overheard multiple workers standing in the lobby talking about us, and a very heavy brunette employee stated she was just going to make extra charges on my credit card, and another said I "had an attitude". Excuse me?? I am a paying customer who was not happy about a made up parking lot policy that was not communicated to me until it was time to check out, clearly these employees have no customer service training. Further, you are just going to commit credit card fraud, and charge me for unauthorized charges because I questioned a parking lot policy? These employees are clearly unethical.Due to the uncleanliness of our room, employee's husband aggressively confronting us and cussing at us with a gun on his hip, and employees threatening to commit fraud

The staff is very nice and friendly. The rooms could've been cleaner, meaning the carpets counters and lamp switches. My bed was extremely comfortable! They don't have bottled water in the rooms so bring your own. They do however offer a great breakfast and if you forgot a toothbrush or razor etc... they offer these items for free and they have all Dove products ( body wash, shampoos and bar soap ) which is nice. Overall not a bad place for a layover stop.
