“Not too bad, if you're in the area, that is. Pretty friendly staff, and that's the only reason I gave them four stars. The store isn't very clean, and it's very dated, but so is everything else in St. Rose.”

“Four stars is for the grill inside the Shell station.... It's a family run business by sisters. I found it in my travels leaving New Orleans when I stopped for gas. The first time I stopped here I just got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast. I know many of you are thinking, well how do you ruin a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. It's not how you can ruin it, but how good you can make it. They use two eggs, a PILE of bacon, with cheese, and of course mayo on it. The bacon is cooked just right and so are the eggs. Not over cooked...They also make a great BLT, piled with bacon also. Fresh crisp lettuce & tomato. This trip around when leaving New Orleans I found out they have so much more than what is on their menu. (You just need to ask what else they have). I got a fried rib plate with spaghetti pasta/cheese salad & potato salad. It comes with 3 (fried) ribs and a more than ample portion of the 2 sides. I met the mother of the sisters who run this place and she suggested the garlic sweet & sticky sauce they have with the ribs...Whaaaat ?!?!?..Garlic rib sauce ?!?!.. I had never heard of it so I thought I'd give it a try. She said it was delicious.... Two words...mmmmm good. It is sweet but it has a little bite to it. Must be that Cajun thing..This is my first time ever having fried ribs, they were moist with that crunch of course from being fried. It was different, but I will say it was very good. If you're ever down here and wanna grab a quick good meal, burger or sandwich, then I would try this little grill inside the shell station/truck stop...Enjoy!! The grill closes at 6 p.m. PS.. The gas station/truck stop has your normal convenience items.”
