We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay at one of the rooms inside the house, unfortunately we did not experienced any paranormal events but it was still a lovely establishment. If you're looking for the Paranormal experience than that would be at one of the rooms in the house which are obviously much older and there's no tv, lack of plugs etc. Beds were extremely comfortable. We didn't get the opportunity to peek into one of the other rooms not attached to the house and those are over the top amazing looking & I personally would recommend one of the newer rooms

This place is beautiful inside and out! We took the tour this visit and boy was it worth it! So much history about this place to see paintings of the people the ghost stories were about was some next level spooky ish! I highly recommend this tour and next time we plan on staying the night. This trip was my daughters idea for her 12th birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCAR!!!!!

Overall, the property was beautiful. We didn’t stay the night but did the tour. The only thing I would change is the tour time, it was very short and we didn’t get to see the full house or property, although you could do a self guided tour and see more. I didn’t see or sense anything paranormal but the portrait of the little girl that passed was pretty creepy - where when painted half her body is alive and the other was painted after death and you can visible see the difference. Overall it was a great time and the food/drinks were really good with great prices!

We stayed in a garden room and the room was beautiful and clean . The ground are gorgeous . Multiple photo opportunities. The tour was very informative. Raney did a great job. We did the day and night tour. The inside of the main home is beautiful but very creepy. If you are staying on the property. Skip the day tour and just take the night tour . They are similar but the night tour is better. We didn't see any ghost but we loved it and would stay again.

I had an absolutely wonderful time! Stayed with my friend over Halloween 2023. The staff are all amazing and sweet. They really make you feel welcome and even the ghosts were nice to us! The tour was fun and informative and don't even get me started on how delicious the restaurant is!

Stayed 2 nights as a birthday gift, in the garden rooms. Booked to late to be in the main house during this time of year. The room/bed very welcoming, clean and comfortable. I do wish there would have been a mini fring to keep drinks. We walked the grounds numerous times, which are lovely, even at 3am.Coffee shop(Elta) was good for small food and coffee items. We felt safe and comfortable here but so many people took the charm away. It feels overly commercialize..As of yet, no super natural experiences. With so many people I can't see how anyone would. Also, I suggest reading America's Haunts article before coming so you can take in all angles of the plantations history.Overall, perfect stay. You'd never have to leave the grounds, as everything you need is here.

Everything was wonderful! Took the tour and our guide Raney Day was fun and interacted with the group like a professional. Restaurant was good but a little high priced for quality. Coffee shop was busy but staff were engaging. Highly recommend a trip to this off the trail location!!

Absolutely loved everything about our stay. From our room, The Bourdeuxe room, to the restaurant, 1796, to the mystery tour with Rainy Day, to the cafe for breakfast. The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. The food was amazing and the people are all wonderful and helpful. I didn’t want to leave! This is a must do again.

Been coming here for close to 15 years. It use to be a nice place to relax and walk the grounds and feel like you're back in time. It now feels like an amusement park with modern apartments. Doesn't even feel like you're visiting an old plantation anymore.

Wow! We were extremely happy with the friendliness and everything about The Myrtles. We stayed in the David Bradford Suite and loved it. We went on the haunted tour with Rainy Day and it was amazing. You should see the images we got taking photos in the mirrors. I even heard footsteps most of the night. We can't wait to go back. Thank you for making our 41st wedding anniversary so speical.

Great and beautiful place but for the cost of the room the bed should be a real queen size with a new mattress and not this super heavy comforter on top. Not comfortable at all. They bet only on the ghosts experience that we certainly had, but we couldn’t sleep not only because of the ghosts but also because of the uncomfortable bedding. The breakfast is good but tiny portions. Next time we would do only the tour and visit the park. The stay isn’t worth the cost.

We did the historic tour. There is so much interesting history here. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to go back for the haunted tour!

We have stayed at many haunted hotels. We have never been scared, but this one was terrifying. If you want the fear factor, take the evening mystery tour where all the haunting that have happened there are explained. And, get a room inside the original house. I’ll guarantee even nonbelievers will have goosebumps.

Wife and I went for a spooky anniversary trip. We both found it very educational and enjoyable to tour the grounds. The night tour was definitely worth it. Our tour guide, Rain, made it much better with personal experience stories. We will be returning at some point and maybe to stay the night.

I've been to the Myrtles twice. We stayed in the main house the first time. There was a fuss because the toilets backed up in the carriage house rooms. The second time we stay in the carriage house. After we came back from the tour, guess what? The toilets had backed up and there was three inches of water on the floor with our luggage and my cameras. We asked for a refund from the management. She tried to say it wasn't their responsibility. Nice try. I had to let everyone know this was a regular occurrence.
