We worked with Jenny at Remax to find a home in Ruston. Finding the right home for us was a long process (7 months) but Jenny could not have been more helpful, encouraging and hard working to find us just what we needed. The Ruston market is not an easy one with so few homes for sale and many more buyers, but because Jenny is such a caring and diligent realtor she was on top of all upcoming listings and found us exactly what we wanted. Along the way Brandon stepped in to help and to advise when needed and his advice and knowledge was extremely valuable to us. My husband and I were blown away by how Jenny went over and above to ensure that not only we found the right house but also helped us find the people we needed to do the renovations we wanted. We have bought and sold several houses over the years and no realtor can even compare to how Jenny, Brandon and team served us.

Remax has been our realtors for several years and have always gone above and beyond for us. We have sold and purchased properties (multiple)with them since 2018 and each time they have been genuine and sincere in their business. I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so. Team Crume loves their clients and makes the effort to plug in to our community. Thank you to Brandon, Jenny and the entire Team Crume crew.

I feel as though this property management team was very unorganized and disrespectful. I worked from home and they would schedule tours in my home while I was working all throughout the day. Letting flies in my home, having multiple people in my home at once . During one visit a man just walked in my home without knocking and did not introduce himself. I had to ask him who he was. They also charged me a fee of $215 for cleaning my apartment upon departure but could not specify exactly what needed to be cleaned. I spent the whole weekend cleaning before I turned in my key. I started by cleaning fans, wiping down the walls, wiping down the window ceilings, cleaning out cabinets , cleaning the bathroom, mopping and sweeping, cleaning everything that was on the move out check list. I also have pictures to prove it. I’m a very dissatisfied. It would be beneficial to Atleast provide the tenant with a list of things that needed to be cleaned, if your going to deduct $215.

They were very dishonest to us multiple times about a very important aspect of our lease, not even trying to hide it, they were contradicting themselves along the way. Also, don’t expect fast service for repairs. You’ll probably have to call multiple times to get something done, even If it’s extremely important. They will lie to keep as much of your safety deposit as they can. They took $200+ out of our $500 deposit due to inadequate bedroom cleaning, even though I thoroughly swept, mopped, cleaned reoccurring mildew off the windows and even scrubbed the walls. They take that money but they sure don’t always use it to clean. Our first property with them was filled with trash and old furniture from the last tenants, including mold and dead bugs everywhere. Also took $75-100 for “not mowing the yard” on our first rental even though we mowed the day we moved out… I totally understand the need for safety deposits and I expected them to take some out for a few blinds that were damaged, but it’s impossible to please them in terms of cleanliness which I think is their goal. I know 5 people, ranging from young college students to grown adults, that have had even worse experiences with this office. They truly fit the horrible landlord stereotype.

Most of my maintenance requests were never answered. I called several times about having an exterminator sent for bedbugs, and they never hired one. I ended up paying for one myself and then they had the gall to charge me for another when we moved out. They made up charges to take more money from us even after we left--we replaced the several blinds due to some being broken and they charged us to replace them (???). They charged us for "changing the locks" without permission when we did no such thing??? Re/Max is the worst realty company I've ever rented from. Do yourself a favor and rent from anyone else.

I’ve rented with this company twice in the last 4 years , 2 different properties. I’ve never had any issues and maintenance was quick to come out and fix the little issues I did have. I cleaned my apartment throughly and received my deposit back in a timely matter. I have no complaints and will be renting again.

To be honest they don’t deserve a star. This company is good at lying! They are dishonest and look for reasons that don’t exist to keep your deposit. Shame on you! God sits high and looks low. Be careful what you do to people!

My private landlord passed away and ReMax bought the place from his family. Two months later, in the middle of a hurricane, some ReMax agent put a “notice of non-renewal of the lease” on our door and ran away without knocking. They were unwilling to allow us to resign the lease and gave us 30 days to “vacate the premises”. I have photo and video evidence of the place being completely empty on the date in the letter but their office was closed so we couldn’t return the keys. The keys were left in the house and they were notified. Now, months later and they are trying to keep the deposit, and charge us another month of rent because we didn't vacate in time. My review would be 0/100 but that’s not an option.

Rented from them twice now. Never again. On both properties there was damage present upon move in and utilities that were broken leaking or not functioning correctly. First property there were scratches on the floor and some of them were made worse during moving yes but charged 500 for the wooden floor in the living room. Water heater kept going out and was over 30 years old they would no replace it, also old pipes burst and was leaking numerous times had to call them out for this multiple times. Over all they charged over 800 for cleaning after cleaners had be hired for this one. Ok no big deal. Trusted them again on a nother property much smaller. Property was severely damaged and had a damaged fridge, dishwasher, and other electrical issues upon move in. Carpets were stained and discolored upon move in. Remax claimed I would not be held liable for preexisting damage. Upon moving out rented carpet cleaner and spent 2 days attempting to clean carpet and preexisting discoloration. It would not lift. Upon receiving refund of deposit. They charged for the carpet being dirty. $150 and also a cleaning fee after having cleaners come again. Another $155 for move out clean. When I left the unit was in better condition then when I arrived. I would never recommend remax. When work request were put in for the second unit there was never any contact nor workers who came out to even look at the property in the 6 months i resided there. Their roof repair team that was replacing shingles from the tornado put a hole in the roof with a hammer. This was also never repaired or examined.
