Rouses is a local grocery chain with reasonable prices and a good selection of items. They also have a hot bar, salad bar, bakery, and butcher. Likewise, the staff is friendly and helpful

Travelled from Texas and got a “new” propane tank for a crawfish boil. The lady told my brother in law “oh that’s got a red cap you don’t want that. That means it’s empty” but turns out the cap means it’s actually new and full so she sold us an empty one for $65 and then we had to go back and pay for another one since it was already obviously empty but they couldn’t trust that we hadn’t just used it. AWFUL customer service and employees with no knowledge of what’s actually going on.

This is the worst Rouses I've ever been to in Louisiana. ROUSES MEAT IS TOP OF THE LINE
.THIS ROUSES GIVES THE COMPANY A BAD NAME. I ASKED FOR THE BUTCHER TO TO GIVE ME FROZEN FLOUNDER FROM THE BACK BECAUSE LOOKING AT THE SEAFOOD THAT WAS OUT I DIDN'T WANT IT. IT DOESN'T LOOK CLEAN AT ALL. AND THATS SCARY FOR SEAFOOD. HE TRIED TO GIVE ME THE FLOUNDER IN THE BAG. I TOLD HIM I WANT FRESH FLOUNDER FROM THE BACK..I WATCHED HIM WALK TO THE DOOR AND STAND THERE HE CAME BACK A SECOND LATER SAYING THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY. AFTER I STOOD THERE FOR ABOUT 5 MINS WHILE HE KEPT HIS BACK TO ME DOING NOTHING.

We ordered a large chicken salad sandwich tray yesterday . If each half had a teaspoon of chicken salad on it you were lucky! A lot had almost none! That was 30.00 something dollar tray for a Mardi Gras ball. All food was gone except the sandwiches. I was so embarrassed! I shop there all the time and would have never expected to get that bad of product with their name on it.

My go to grocery store. Others might be a little cheaper but not as pleasant of an environment where the people are helpful and friendly.
