The checkout machines are already so bad that one time they charged my card, insisted that it didn't go through even when I showed them my bank account had already removed the money, and made me pay again. Then the next day I had to go to my bank to dispute the second charge that they shouldn't have charged me to begin with. The store is always a mess. Boxes everywhere, but I guess that's kind of the standard with Dollar General. I went just now, needed a shopping cart. There weren't any to use. The employees had filled them all up with items to be put on shelves, so there were none for actual customers to use. The self checkout is always down, and it's always hard to find someone to play cashier for a few minutes. management must not want to pay more than 2 employees at a time, and it shows. The roof leaks. The building is only like two years old but every time it rains they have buckets everywhere to catch the drips.

For some reason it seems to me that these Dollar General Store need to hire Stocking crews to stock their shelves. They are losing so much money when they have inventory in boxes and one of each kind of hand soap on the shelves. I visited 2 Dollar General Stores In my area last week one was stocked fairly well the one nearest to my home was ridiculous. There were full carts of inventory all the way down the back aisle. If I were the manager there that would never happen. I told my son to go apply for Management position. He has 10 + years in retail and he talks about how they need to tighten up their crew over there because they are losing so much money. I gave them a 3 because I would rate the one nearest me a 2 and the other a 4.
