“The butcher counter here is epic and well-stocked, with knowledgeable staff and friendly service. If you don’t see what you want they got it in the back. Really good coffee, convenient hours, gumbo in the afternoon. I go once a week to get great cuts of real soul food ingredients - today I got incredibly flavorful beef “bones” for my roasted bone broth. And they offer package specials like 100lbs of various types of meat for $169 and a “Monday Night Game Grilling Special”. Avoid exorbitant high prices for supermarket-grade cuts at “boutique butchers” by visiting Ancona’s 100%!”
“I have been going to this store for many years but not lately. You can find some deals in the produce and meat departments. I love the smoked pork chops! One of the best places for white potatoes ? They provide anything related to the Latin culture. I wished I was brave to try the Taqueria there.”

I could have spent hours in this little gem. Make sure you pick up some of the olive salad, labeled with the Calandro's name. The best around.”

Close, convenient, good, fresh meat, fresh and unblemished produce are always available. They also have a great cheese selection and plenty of ready to go foods in the deli. The cashiers are absolutely friendly and helpful. Definitely a great place to shop!”

Service was exceptional, the one and only worker took time to get me info so I could eat authentic African food from restaurant nearby. She was helpful and respectful, and very pleasant. I felt like I'd been transported to a true market. The items in stock were interesting. If you make baobab juice this is the place to re up and they also sell halal meat. I will be going back”
“A holiday meal staple for my family! Almost every holiday we order Honey Baked Ham, and it never ever disappoints. We just made an order for Easter. A 5.5 lbs ham, Mac n cheese, broccoli, mashed potatoes, rolls, and a cheesecake to finish it off. Absolutely delicious and between four adults, we quite literally ate it all. So easy to prepare and very quick. We didn't even really cook and clean up was super easy because the dishes that they come in are great to serve in too. When we ordered online, we prepaid and picked up at the store. The store was very clean and organized with overhead signs telling you what line to go in if you prepaid for your meal. They also had tons of add-ons you could buy. I really liked how the staff was festive, with the bunny ears, and there was a seamless system to pick up so we didn't have to wait long. Honey Baked Ham is the way to go!”

“This place is AMAZING. Everytime I'm riding through Port Allen of course I have to stop and I always spend wayy too much money. They have lots of choices of meals or individual items. And if you like them they have a freezer section with most of the items to buy and bring home! They have amazing pepper jellys and jars of pickles, okra and asparagus that are out of this world. If you haven't enjoyed a meal here before. I absolutely recommend!!”
