“The hotel is easy access to Several places to eat, and shop for Personal items etc. However I am somewhat disappointed because the pool was not as described (not in operation) online. For us who like to Relax on Vacation poolside , this location is not for you. Other than that our room was a Queen Bed With Fridge, kitchenette, small sink, Microwave etc. We enjoyed our stay in “The Big Easy” visiting our son For his Birthday.”

46053 N Puma Dr, Hammond“This is a nice red roof inn. Outside has been maintained well. Great location if you are traveling and need to stay the night. Rooms were clean and look like they had been updated. Front desk employee who checked us in was friendly. It’s pricier than other hotels around the area. Close to food options. 2 downsides. #1 no breakfast not even fruit or breakfast bars at the rate that should be given. #2 they allow pets no deposit which was an annoyance because person in next room had a dog who barked a bit. Fees for pets usually keeps folks away. Other than that good spot. Would recommend to stay even if needed for extended stay.
Rooms: Clean rooms. Bed was comfortable.
Food & drinks: Burger King and Honduran restaurant nearby.”
“Absolutely a gorgeous property. The wrap around balcony is so beautiful. Great service. Wonderful experience.
Rooms: The room was absolutely beautiful c”
“The rooms were ok. It’s an older hotel and could use a little TLC. But it was clean.
But Tina Lena at the front desk was amazing!! She helped me get my reservations corrected. Then she helped me extend it a day. Then she helped me add an additional room for my DIL at the last moment. She was quick and patient and I couldn’t thank her enough for going the extra mile for us. Thank you Tina Lena. My new best friend!!!
Nearby activities: It was close to Southeastern University and we were watching the playoffs. So it was all we needed at the time.”
“Overall a comfortable stay. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. My first room had a heavy smell of smoke, and they very quickly changed me to another room with no fuss. Rooms were VERY spacious and beds very comfortable. Everything felt very clean. The breakfast was just okay, it would have been nice to have a little more variety like cereal or yogurt but it was still nice. I also felt like there were not many towels in the room, although I am sure I could have asked for more easily. This hotel is pet friendly which is also a must for me traveling with my dog.
Overall a safe, comfortable stay for a good price.”
“Confortable, clean and service was good.
Rooms: Nice, clean, confortable.
Nearby activities: Next to Interestate 12, close from restaurants and malls.
Food & drinks: Includes Continental breakfast. It was ok.”
“The only reason for the four stars is the rooms because I have a cleaning forte that yielded a bit more than I would have expected. Yet beautiful grounds, service (shout out to Mr. Brent) and upkeep.
Walkability: Dollar General is right cat a corner from it in Fine stretching your legs distance and a convenience Store is a hop skip and jump about a quarter mile down.”
“The rooms are clean and the water pressure was great. We broke down on the interstate and they gave us a ride to the auto repair shop the next morning. We were very happy with the room and the price and friendly service was great. Thank you Western inn we will see you again!”
“Really nice suite. Cooktop, full fridge, large microwave with counter space and full sink. Lots of space. Wifi was non existent in our room and beds bounced on the hardwood floors as they were not level.
Rooms: We got a ste with kitchenette and two double beds.
Nearby activities: Joyce Wildlife is nearby as is Southeastern La University.
Walkability: Can walk to many restaurants, Walmart, B&J's Seafood, Rouses Grocery, Lowes, Harbor Freight, and gas stations.
Food & drinks: McDonald's, Waffle House, Applebee's, Tiger Po boy, Chic Fillet, Cracker Barrel B&J's Seafood are all in walking distance.
Noteworthy details: The Hotel has a workout center and laundry that you use a credit card and QR code to run and monitor.”

“This was a fun, clean, safe, RV resort. The lazy river, adult & family swimming pools were well maintained. We were camping with family on a double RV spot with plenty of room cement. The only drawbacks - we happened to be in site 124 which was super close to a highway ramp with lots of Jake break noise & random trash along the edges of the park. A maintenance person could walk around, pick it up and make this a better environment. And Wi-Fi was very spotty - but to be clear, the entire area outside the park had poor WiFi and cell service. Another great thing was the SECURITY - code to get in the park after office hours and you cannot get in the exit or your tires will be punctured. It was about 55 minutes from downtown New Orleans. Perfect!! The nearby town of Hammond has everything you want from the excellent upscale Buddies Bar & Grille restaurant to several coffee shops and other stores”
