“Pretty good hotel, clean rooms, nice staff, I’ve gotten about 100 keys since being here and they haven’t fussed about it yet, p.s. I did return the old ones…. Anyways, pleased with the stay, just one thing I’m having a continuous issue with, and it’s the internet privacy and uptime along with signal strength. If they can fix that, would be def. 5 star, minus no breakfast area , but there is coffee all day!! All in all, I say 4.6 out of 5Rooms: Nice rooms, looks like new flooring in mine, or relatively new, clean. One outlet by the table doesn’t work, and for some reason, it’s the same outlet in every room, at least, that I’ve been in, over the activity table next to the entertainment center and tvWalkability: Right next to gas station and the Plaquemine locksFood & drinks: Coffee all day!”

“Convenient location to Baton Rouge. We were attending an LSU football game and this location was convenient and affordable. The staff is very friendly and took care of our needs. For example, we had an issue with the television in the room. I called the front desk and within 15 minutes they were in our room taking care of the issue. Nice breakfast. Hot items including omelettes and turkey sausage. My only small complaint is the breakfast ended at nine on weekends rather than the usual 10 AM. I also would've liked it if they would've left out certain items like tea and hot chocolate after the 9 AM cut off. The train whistle is an issue as other reviewers have mentioned. Our room was on the backside of the hotel, and it really was not a big issue for us. But I imagine if you were on the front side it would be. Overall. If you are attending a LSU football game, this location works.”

“The hotel is quite nice with lots of free parking. Centrally located, not too far from LSU. Free breakfast and wifi. Rooms are mostly quiet but I could hear showers running and toilet flushing from other rooms. Beds are OK. Lobby is very nice. Check-in was fast and easy. I'd stay at the hotel again.Rooms: Rooms are satisfactory and clean.Food & drinks: Free breakfast and free happy hour.”

“We stayed in Baton Rouge overnight for business last night. Another hotel chain did not meet our accommodations as promised. We had to find a place to stay after being on the road for hours at 12 am. We immediately thought about Hoilday Inn in our time of distress. The location on Constitution in Bation Rouge had the most incredible response to our needs last night.  Night shift staff on duty, Kameron, was there to greet us with a smile. He welcomed us in the middle of the night. Claim us down and get us ready for a comfortable night of lodging. I would say the hotel is very neat, clean, and updated. It was a much better experience than the hotel down the road, which failed to meet its obligations. Thank you to Kameron for your excellent customer care and saving the night.

Rooms: Perfect!

Noteworthy details: Excellent customer service especially night staff Kameron. He was ready willing and able to greet us with great accommodations.”

“The Crowne Plaza is an older hotel, meaning the year it was built (1973). I visited about 13 years ago for a professional conference (the same one I attended this year) and this time I felt like the rooms could have been upgraded a bit more. According to research, they were upgraded in 2019. They were not deplorable or like a motel, but I expected more - especially since I was there for a professional conference. The conference rooms were nice. Staff was okay.Rooms: Need more upgrading.Nearby activities: Everything is close by - restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, shopping, and the interstate if you want to travel a little further out.Walkability: Everything is in walking distance but keep in mind this is a high traffic area with not many sidewalks.”

“Loved our 4 day stay.. the room was spacious and had a computer desk which I used, the desk wasn’t wide enough which was a little handicap but overall worked well. The lounge is great, the lady during the breakfast was super nice and welcoming.. the man, name starting with a J, at the front desk was grumpy and unwelcoming which was a bit off putting and shouldn’t honestly be allowed to be in the front desk but the rest of the staff made the stay very pleasurable.”

“We came for Mardi Gras Swim meet and our heat wasn't working ( it was 30-40 degrees out) the first night. Mr Darryl - chief engineer came and worked on it, he was frank that the fix would take time and he expedited a room move for us two times as the first move would have moved us away from our team mates. He was kind and we appreciated the direct communication that the situation wasn't a quick fix, followed by a solution until we were in a warm room, close to our team.”

“The nice young man that was our tour guide was amazing. He answered questions, was knowledgeable and helpful to guide us to resources for restoration of family documents. This was one of the best tours we have been on. We throughly enjoyed the tour! Thank you again.”

“We spent a long weekend there! It was great. The food options were FANTASTIC! I highly recommend Johnny Sanchez for breakfast and Drago's for dinner. The casino was nice, lots of slots and table games. The staff every where we went was AMAZING!!! They were all so nice ans hard working. The room was nice although it did show it's age a little but it was still nice. I'd definitely go back.”

“We have stayed at this hotel at least four dozen times over the last 5 years. It has always been wonderful. The suites are beautiful and clean, and the staff is excellent. This is the only hotel that we use in the Baton Rouge area.”

“Great rooms and nice property! Would stay here again. Went for an engagement party and it was near the party location. A nice Mexican restaurant right next door.”

“This hotel is in a great location, very convenient and easy to access. It is very well maintained and pleasing to the eye to look at all the amenities. A couple of drawbacks were the AC that ran too loud and had two settings off and on, the temperature control was not working. What was really a drawback is that the shower that was installed. Looks like it was done by someone with no attention to detail it was, it was not completely sealed. There were pencil marks from the cuts, it leaked, and there was glue or something like glue all over the walls . The other drawback was that the reception on the TV was not very good it seems as if it was an antenna instead of cable, and there was a lot of distortion. And with the AC running all night, I had to turn the volume all the way up just to be able to hear the television.”

“Friendly staff, hotel getting old. Slow elevators, sometimes 1 of the 2 is broken, using stairs is not an option, because they do not exit on first floor, just to outside.”

“Rooms, beds and bathrooms are very clean. The free breakfast has variety and is fresh. All this is second to the fact that the staff is always smiling and friendly.”

“The super friendly service and clean rooms make up for the bit outdated bathroom. I really enjoy this hotel. The way the people in the lobby greet you, the cleanness of the rooms and the outback restaurant next door. The little scratch card for gold members is an amazing idea, I wish all Marriotts would do that.Overall, it's a great hotel, I'm definitely coming back here!”

“We just started a 5 day stay here and I must say that first impressions are great. It really upsets me to think of the number of times we've been in Baton Rouge and stayed in nearby places that were more expensive and not as nice.We chose the king suite room because of some reviews and we're thrilled at the size of the suite and the cleanliness. This is an older hotel but is in the very best condition. Lobby and breakfast are impressive. There's a lot of highway noise but absolutely none in our room.If things change during our stay I'll update this post but I don't expect any problems. I can't imagine where any bad reviews come from.Follow -up Review:My husband and I stayed at this hotel again a year or so later and we had a very poor experience. We were in a different section of the hotel for the second stay and it was nothing like the first. The room this time was a standard double room. It didn't seem clean and there was noise in the hall that was bothersome. The walls and doors did not block routine conversations outside the room. It really seemed like a second rate hotel. We go to Baton Rouge every year but we have never stayed here again. The location is great and maybe the king suites are the way to go but we've never given them another chance.”

“Kenric (the front desk guy) is seriously one of the nicest men I have ever met. I had traveled several hours and arrived early. He was so kind to get me. I arrived a few hours early and he could tell I was totally exhausted. He allowed me to check in early so I can take a nap before my important event that evening. Then the next day he went out of his way to help me print an important document. You don't find stuff like that anymore. The beds are why I love to stay at Comfort Inn. The only reason I gave it a four-star is because the hotel is getting a bit outdated. But under no circumstances, is that an issue on the staff side.”

“Excellent crew, easily check in, fantastically easy to book, and clean! Even in the lobby, it smelled so clean! The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. My only two complaints were about the bathroom door and the bathroom vent. The door didn't close completely, but it wasn't a huge issue. However, the bathroom vent, which had no option to turn off as it was tied to the light switch, was amazingly loud and rambunctious. The vent gave me flashbacks. Every time we would turn on the bathroom light, it was like listening to a concert of epileptic monkeys bang coconuts on tiger enclosure at an understaffed zoo. Gotta get that fixed.”

“This is a great property. Had nothing but excellent service from the front desk, to the housekeepers and the gentleman that does the maintenanceCurrently doing some renovations so if the pool is a must you may want to contact them first, was not an issue for us.”
