In town visiting family in Louisiana and their plate lunches were highly recommended. It was so good and the portions were perfect. I was too full for dinner!

I have been known to drive 4 1/2 hours from northeast Texas to get their food. Am I crazy? Probably. But don’t judge me unless you have tried the Champagne Marche boudin or sausages or stuffed roast or king cake. The most amazing, delicious, heavenly foods. I bring a few big ice chests and fill them up with goodies. Worth the drive? Absolutely. And the owners are some really nice folks.

The employees provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone! They also take online orders and unlike Walmart or other big box stores they will contact you about substitutions, saving you money and always get the order correct! Their Meat Department and Bakery are also amazing! I highly recommend their made in house hot garlic sausage, king cakes, chicken salad, and Boudin dip!

Deli got king cakes, pizza, boudin dip, etc. Meat department has specialty boudin some days (nacheaux, jambalaya). Store is clean and properly stocked. The Champagne's are great people.

Don't get me wrong this place is great depending on which location you go to but can often times not have certain products because it's a mom and pop owned grocery store. But the pro to that, depending on which location you go to, you can find some really great local meats seasoned well. My personal favorite one is the leonville location but the Carencro one is pretty good too.

To me, this is the tastiest boudin in all of Louisiana. The balance of meat to pulverized rice is perfect, but it is the deft spicing that puts their link in another galaxy. It is a bright, complex flavor that is a satisfying whole, each bite a joy. That is for their regular boudin - - but they also have smoked, boudin, a nah cheaux (nacho) boudin, a ghost pepper boudin, a pepper jack cheese boudin - - the full range of their meats and sausages in their meat case is staggering. Fantastic butcher, great place - - though so out of the way it misses the I-10 tourist parade. Giant array of spice mixes available for sale too. Worth any kind of pretty detour, often along some real pretty highway.

Cashier was rude. She talked to the customer ahead of me for the longest and thanked her for coming in. When she got to me, she told me the cost of my items, dropped the change in my hand and turned on to the next customer and greeted the young caucasian guy warmly. I didn't get a thank you or an invitation to return. I had intentions of going back to purchased a grill that I saw in the store. I've been looking for a grill like that for months. The young man that assisted me was very courteous. She was the oldest cashier there. She should've been trying to set an example for the young adults. She won't have the opportunity to do that to me again. I guess I will continue looking for that grill somewhere else. 6/8/2020
