“Every single detail of our experience at Southern Oaks was perfect. Many people said it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. Guests were blown away by the food, both variety and quality.

Every member of staff was incredibly professional, and the owner Bobby was warm, kind, and clearly has a passion for exceptional service based on the overall vibe of the venue. In the past year of planning, the staff were thoughtful and seemed to truly care about us and making sure we had an excellent experience.

Having everything included like the DJ, food, dessert, and open bar made planning much easier.

“The Elms was an unbelievable venue to have our wedding at. We were not sure what to fully expect, as the Elms was recommended to us from our planner, but we booked it without even seeing it ourselves (we live up north). When we saw it the day before our wedding, it totally blew us away. The photos are great but cannot do it justice. Everything was perfectly executed and our guests were in awe. We cannot recommend this venue enough!”

“After a long stimulating day in The French Quarter, this Irish Cultural Museum is the PERFECT spot to sit back, relax, enjoy Irish culture and Irish coffee with or without the coffee! It's a quaint family owned and operated bar with a small yet impactful museum. Take in the images and journeys through the potato famine in Ireland which led to the flight of Irish to America. Also a great spot if you love the courtyards New Orleans is famous for.”

“I planned my bestie's bachelorette party in nola and decided to book a party with Sharon Hart @ Bourbon Street Balcony Rentals for dinner and a balcony experience (located at Cornet). It was the best decision EVER and ended up being my favorite part of the entire weekend. Sharon decorated our dining area with cute Mardi Gras themed masks and beads. We had a private bartender with an open bar (shout out to bartender Shay who made great drinks and blasted Spice Girls for us) and a delicious/simple buffet served by Mr. Reynard that pleased even our picky eaters of the group—he even went out on Bourbon to snap pics of us up on the balcony. Sharon also has a beads supplier who was able to pre-deliver our beads and throws, so everything was setup and ready to go for our girls. The entire party felt like a once-in-lifetime to have the balcony and to experience nola from that vantage point. It was worth every single penny and more. If you are planning a bachelor or bachelorette party... YOU NEED TO DO THIS!”

“BK House was closed due to them cleaning up from a late night event the prior night. One of the staff members did let us in to tour the property ourselves. The staff was very friendly and its a cool house. A very distant ancestor of mine was married to the daughter of the man who had the house built so I was glad they let us come in and look around.”

“My daughter attended a 16th birthday party here. It was not the biggest space but perfect for this event. It is in the back of a neighborhood and may be a little tricky to find, but overall, it is a great spot for smaller events!”

“To start, I think my wedding was without a doubt the best night of my life thanks to Latrobe's. To us, the night was perfect. From the champagne skirt upon reception entrance, to the INCREDIBLE food, the staff dancing with everyone on the dance floor, Marte making sure we were always having fun and had a drink in hand, to Rylan at the helm of a second line to end the night. I can't even count how many people came up to us to sing praises of the Latrobe's team, but if I had to guess, it was all 120 of our guests! The Latrobe's team are some of the most wonderful people we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and we will never forget all that they did for us. I truly don't think there is a venue out there that does it better than them. We have had the time of our lives working with these wonderful people to pull off our New Orleans destination wedding and my only wish is that I can do it all over again with them every year. “Paradigm Gardens is a dreamy oasis of a wedding venue (complete with the friendliest pygmy goats). From the moment my partner and I stepped foot into this picturesque garden, we knew it was the place where we wanted to say "I do".

Chef Pat deserves special recognition for the incredible culinary experience he provided. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, a true feast for the senses. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the menu, and neither could we.

The wedding coordinator, Sarah, was awesome. She ensured that everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the moment.

One of the most touching gestures was the bouquet of flowers that Karen crafted for me from the garden itself. It was a personalized touch that added an extra layer of meaning to our day.

“Husband and I went to The Fillmore for the first time to attend a Boney James concert which was WONDERFUL. (This was a seated concert. Not standing room only). The acoustics in this place are great and the stadium seating toward the back was comfy. The only complaint is there was no bottled water to purchase.”

“If you have an event in Nola you need to do it at the Firehouse Loft! If you're considering other venues, don't. The venue is gorgeous, the owner and staff are super helpful and the nicest people.Preamble: We live outside Louisiana and were coming for celebration of life for my father, New Orleans style, looking for a venue that would suit the vibe we were looking for. Once we found Firehouse we realized quickly we couldn't do it anywhere else.The Venue: Modern, yet historic. The building is a converted firehouse, as the name implies. Sean, the owner, and his team did a great job elevating the space into something modern and conversational. Every detail was done tastefully, from the art, furniture, to general flow for any event size. They typically are tailored to festive, work or personal, events but even as a celebration of life the venue was perfect.The Staff: Sean and his team were super communicative throughout the process, even going above and beyond in the planning stage and throughout the event and after. They have vendors that support any festivity and can accommodate all price points. For reference, we only rented the space and a bartender to serve wine and beer, but they ramp up options from there.I cannot say enough about both the staff and venue. It is hard to fault the space in any form. The only real criticism I could render is that the space does not have an elevator, which in the case of our party was not a problem but could be if attendees have mobility problems. The space is on the second floor so be aware of that. I know overly glowing reviews typically raise an eyebrow or two, but there is almost nothing to fault and I struggled to find one, so there you go. Again, truly appreciate Firehouse Loft and Sean's team for everything they did.”

Beware, there are items being smoked inside (everything but cigarettes) so know that your clothes will smell the next day. Or something to consider if you have asthma.

“City Park has my heart. It's full of childhood and adult memories for me. It's also my ideal date spot. Let's go to the Sculpture Garden followed by some Cafe du Monde and a stroll around the park. If we're lucky, we'll get to swing as well. Let's go!”

“Love this place. Nice place to go and have a lil fun without a bunch of kids running all around you. It’s a game room for adults. Games are very cheap. Only .50 cents each. Pool is also only .50 cents a game. Only downfall is they only have 4 pool tables which they tend to fill up very quickly no matter what day of the week it is. It’s my go to when I’m bored and just wanna get out the house and have a lil fun. Another plus is they serve alcohol.”

“Went on a Monday and saw the amateurs. Was a nice small comedy club and the hosts did a great job entertaining everyone and covering for the unfunny comics. We had a great time and I’d definitely recommend it to everyone.”

“I had my wedding here in October 2023 and I could not have asked for a more perfect day. At first, I thought this venue was to big but even for my 50 person wedding it was absolutely perfect! I had my bridal party and family stay in the cottages which had ample space and everything you need. I really loved that we were in a gated off property to ourselves. The day of, the weather could not have been more perfect. It was such stress free and relaxing time getting ready while everyone else was hard at work getting everything prepared. The wedding itself was perfect. We had the ceremony inside the main house which was so intimate and romantic. I asked for mix and matched chairs to just add a bit of character to the ceremony and it looked so great. Then the reception was outside, which bc the weather was so nice it was just so fun to be outdoors under the oak trees with the twinkling lights. We ate and drank and danced the night away and when the reception was over we continued the fun at the bar they have! The next day we did a brunch with my bridal party and family. This really is such a special place. Erin and her sister are super responsive, flexible and really able to do so much! I am so so grateful to them and the rest of their team for making our special day everything we dreamed of and more!”
