Urban Roots deserves their solid reputation. I purchased a plant that I knew would need to be repotted in short order, so I also bought a larger clay pot. At the checkout, this very nice person offered to transplant it for me if I had a few extra minutes. Who does things like that any more?! Their plants are healthy and cared for, and their customer service deserves 5 stars! Highly recommend.

Have been coming here for a few years and adore this place, its prices, and its people. Plants are healthy and employees are knowledgeable. The animals and their caretakers make visiting more of an experience than a simple transaction.

Had plants we couldn't find at other garden centers like tarragon. A couple of parking slots but can park on street. Get plants you want, bring to outside desk get ticket to pay then go inside to pay.

Love the animals there! I didn't see many fruit trees aside from the citrus. Huge tropical plants. Fragrant gardenia and jasmine plants available. Too bad they're too big or else I'd bring them on the flight.

Very unique garden center and gifts. Purchased several pieces for my porch, and natives in containers.
Stop here first if looking for new garden plants.

Every time I visit this garden center, I’m extremely disturbed and saddened by the treatment of the rabbit they keep at their register. This rabbit is on display, forced to stay in one position with a bright light shinning down on it all day. The rabbit usually has its eyes closed either due to boredom or the bright light. It’s inhumane and sick. It’s absolutely not cute in any way possible for those that care about animals. They should be ashamed of themselves using this rabbit as a prop. You can see a small cage just behind it, so it no doubt goes in there after customers depart. My only hope is they actually give this animal the ability to stretch its legs once in a blue moon, but it’s doubtful by the controlled nature they keep them in. Do better, let the rabbit be adopted and stop using animals as props.
