This is an adorable weird little store! They have hundreds if not thousands of limoges, which are these little porcelain boxes. The woman working there was extremely friendly and told us that all of them were hand painted porcelain and shipped from Italy. Each piece is unique and they have them in everything you could imagine, from cats and dogs to vegetables and even chairs! You could spend hours looking at these. They're all around $140-225 because of the detail that goes into making them, so we left without buying any but we were obsessed with this shop

A beautiful store with an amazing collection of Limoges boxes. An even amazing manager/owner who helped me acquire a special one.

I would leave zero stars if it was an option! I have been working in New Orleans for 6 months now and have never experienced more friendly and hospitable people, except for the clerk at the Brass Monkey. Myself, and my visiting friends asked simple questions about her wares as we had never seen things like she has where we are from in Wyoming. She answered with very short, rude one word remarks as if we were below class for her or her store. We walked out without spending a cent. My friends and I all work in different customer service industries, and we were appalled by her attitude. I would have terminated her on the spot if she were my employee. Our one and only visit to this store was on 2/24/22.

Have you heard of Limoge or have you been living under a rock with me? I spotted a little display case featuring some selections in Hotel Monteleone. I later passed by The Brass Monkey and wanted to have a peek inside the store. I had zero clue what Limoges were. I glanced over the shelves rather quickly and once having a more in-depth conversation with the sales associate here I discovered just how interesting and unique they are. If you're a collector or know someone who is, this store has soooo many. I quickly became fascinated in spotting certain very fun designs (lighthouses, golf theme, cakes, coffee and beignets, hamburger, hot air balloon). Really, there's just about anything you can think of. I'm not a big collector of anything much but I can see how this could become an exciting habit. Mind you, they aren't exactly inexpensive- most range from $165-$250ish a piece in this store. Next time I'm in Paris, I'm determined to take a little trip to Limogé and who knows I may just start up a small collection for shits and giggles. If you've never heard of them and aren't a collector but you're in the French Quarter this is an absolutely lovely little store to visit. I have a strong feeling you'll find it fun to admire the craftsmanship of the collection on sale here. Now I feel like I'll always have my eye out for these in certain places, I'll strike gold if I can find someone who like me had no idea what they were.

Quite expensive! And the woman there, don’t know if she’s the owner or employee, but not friendly at all

Didnt take pictures of the limoges because it's kind of their business. The woman helping us out was so friendly and passionate about these collectables ... worth visiting for sure.

The chocolate wasnt great for the price. The interior has lots of very cute little knick knacks and walking sticks though if you are looking for that sort of thing.

The lovely lady, who waited on me, was very helpful and informative. The shop’s merchandise was both affordable and high end. There is something for everyone in this shop. I especially liked the walking sticks. Also, a great price range with the canes and walking sticks.
