Sweet Olive Salon is cute as hell, easy to schedule & reschedule in person, online, or via phone, has lovely, kind employees, and offers great services and products. My favorite salon in the city, and one of their stylists, Katie Vidrine is just dreamy, and gave me probably the best haircut of my life today. Highly recommend.
Requested style: Chic, lazy-girl French bob (with bangs and an undercut).

Warm and welcoming team of talented, experienced pros. Have only used haircut and facial services here and they were excellent. I always feel comfortable when I’m there and I really appreciate the nongendered haircut pricing.

I've been entrusting my old guy head to Andrea for years, and it's always a pleasure and a terrific cut! The whole place is just so welcoming and beautiful and fun.. We are pals, so I suppose I have a built in prejudice, but so be it! You will emerge looking and feeling a whole lot better than when you went in!

I have been recommended to this place because I was looking for a pixie cut.Their website says you can book via text, call, or online. I texted asking for an appointment with Andrea (the person who is supposedly a pixie specialist), and I was told to book online. So I booked the next available appointment online, which was in a month. To my disappointment I received a call days before said appointment, saying Andrea was not taking any new clients and that they were canceling my appointment.Why customer service didn’t tell me this when I first tried to book via text? Why could they not open an exception considering it was their fault?I rather support businesses that respect people’s time and value their clients. Both my interactions with their customer service were rude and rushed, so I’m happy I’m not supporting this behavior in a city as positive and vibrant such as NOLA.Service: Haircut

Absolutely everything about my haircut is wrong. I asked for 3 specific things and they were all very basic. None of them were followed and I have a cut that falls into my eyes, is chunky in weird places and by the time I got home, I was frizzed out all over. Never again.

If I could give more stars I would. Katie Vidrine is a DREAM of a stylist. Not only does she listen to my goals for my hair she always makes it turn out better than even I even expected. Her sweet, welcoming energy and expertise is why I keep coming back and recommending her to all my friends.

Best haircut I ever got! Andrea was so sweet and welcoming. I'm usually not a favorite with hairdressers because I'm not big on products and I don't wear makeup (I'm used to being told I'm ugly and should have my hair straightened and use products, do my eyebrows, usual makeover BS etc...) so I was a little timid coming in, and within 10 minutes I felt right at home. If you're a curly head you should try this place!

I've been to this salon a few times, and my experience has always been pleasant. I do want to point out that it's a bit pricy and there is a very intense cancellation policy. Please review the cancellation policy thoroughly before booking and don't make the same mistake I did. I had an urgent situation that prevented me from making my appointment (which was rescheduled a month prior due to the salon canceling). I called the afternoon prior to my appointment to notify them, but they did not answer and I left a voicemail explaining. I was charged $51 for giving a "late cancellation". Basically, the cost of a haircut for long, curly hair is about $85, and I was to pay 65% because I cancelled less than 48 hrs prior to the appointment. I'm not a wealthy person, so this wasn't the best situation. I'm anxious about booking again and possibly getting sick or having another emergency less that 48hrs before the appointment. I understand that this situation was totally my fault. I just want to make sure that those scheduling don't gloss over the cancellation policy like I did. Learn from my mistake!
