So the positives! The room had been freshly decorated so nice and fresh! Very comfy bed. The staff were helpful. Location is great.
Negatives....I'll ignore the ongoing work as that's unavoidable. The TV didn't work. The phone didn't work. There was a buzz that lasted a few seconds which happened every minute, sounded almost like an intercom. The curtains are thin and decorative so if you wake up with daylight, you'll wake up early! They were obviously in a hurry to do the rooms, paint on lights, floor etc. The biggest negative, I don't know if it's with changing of systems but we checked out 3 weeks ago and the security deposit hasn't been returned. Hilton just keep saying wait a few more days, hotel fails to reply to emails/chat. So I'm still $300 out of pocket. These might all be teething issues, it's not long been taken over but we won't book again

Bed not comfortable
Perhaps because the room was old, it smelled like cigarette smoke and mold.
Location is great
Parking is expensive
Noteworthy details: Parking is not free

Great hotel front desk staff Christina and Kerry were excellent! Rooms clean and spacious. Location excellent for seeing everything.
Walkability: Close to French Quarter and the Canal and Charles St. Trolley cars.

Nearby activities: Food! Wine bars! Museums and more! Canal Street and Bourbon; just know you’re not too far from fun and fruitful festivities. Get in the mix and DO WHAT YOU WANNA ?
Walkability: Can easily get to a variety of restaurants on foot. There’s a couple salons and spas a couple blocks away. The staff members are warm and welcoming; we were elated and overjoyed by the kindness everyone expressed.
Food and drinks: All I can say is I’ve met the cooks! They are more than promising and it’s worth looking forward to.
Noteworthy details: In the midst of a brief transitory period that has already increased the modern decor value as well the tone of the hotel itself. No worries, our safety and understanding was definitely top priority during our stay. I’ve been home for every storm that’s ever hit New Orleans; this season I’m grateful to say I was able to stay at this hotel and was effectively accommodated. Thank you all.

Overall a great hotel! We had a fantastic stay. Area was nice and quiet, with easy walking distance to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. Room was very clean and had all basic amenities (except for a fridge and microwave) which was very disappointing as we did have lots of leftover food. However, staff were very kind and accommodating and allowed us to check in early since our flight landed early. Location is great if you’re looking for a nice quiet stay.

I have a love and hate feeling with this Hotel.
PROS:
- Location is great. Close enough to walk to canal and Bourbon but not too close.
- I had a King size bed corner room with double windows on each wall and the view was amazing. Loved it especially in the mornings.
- Front desk was great. I cannot remember the lady’s name but she was exceptional. I’d really only come back because she does a fantastic job.
CONS:
- Constant street/city noise, I mean what do you expect from a city hotel. If you get a window room, expect lots of revving engines, loud music and sirens throughout the night.
- No microwave or refrigerator.
- Only Valet Parking which price varies depending on size of vehicle.
- Tub water kept backing up from the shower head overpressure.
-Valet parking is in another building so you would need to call 15-20mins in advance for your vehicle.
Reason I give it a 4 is because of the room. When it was quiet the room with the view of the sunrise made up for the cons.

I gave it two stars strictly because the staff was super friendly and that’s it.
1.) location is sketchy. In the parking lot across the street there was a man doing drugs. We arrived at like 9:30pm and instantly felt on edge
2.) our room was dusty and there was mold.
3.) toilet didn’t work, there was a bug in the tub, and the ceiling was partially collapsed
4.) our towels were ALREADY wet
5.) went downstairs to address issues 2-4 and the gentleman did not hesitate to move us to a new room which was nice. Problem was that the new room had a leaking ceiling in the bathroom and as a result, had a very strongly mildew/mold scent.
6.) although “pet friendly” we had to drive elsewhere for our dog to do her business because there’s not a blade of grass anywhere near the hotel for animals to relieve themselves. Not to mention she also was not feeling the vibe and got extremely anxious every-time we stepped back into the doors.
7.) elevator was broken
8.) breakfast consisted of cereal with no milk and stale pastries.
If you’re in NOLA to get drunk on bourbon st and you don’t really have high expectations for where you lay your head at night, this is a great place to stay because it’s within walking distance but for this hotel to refer to itself as “luxury” is a joke.
Would NEVER stay here again

First off let me say how great and attentive Kerry was as well as the staff!
Second… the hotel is the definition of being CATFISHED!!! 10 in pictures, 3 at best in person…
The laurel oak restaurant and bar is non existent. Just an empty space that serves Walmart pastries and cereal. ( no hot food )
The elevator doesn’t work, got stuck multiple times in two days.
The AC doesn’t go lower than 70!!! And that’s if it’s even working properly.
On top of no hot water….. it’s like warm at best..
And there’s black mold in all the vents!!!!
Don’t believe me… book your stay. But trust me when I say either book a refundable reservation or just spend the extra money and stay at a nicer hotel.
Instead of addressing and correcting the issue, Read the auto response from the (Owner) it’s just the run around computer text asking to give them another chance and to stay at the hotel again..no thank you. First impressions are everything… you will not be taking my money again nor the people I network with

This hotel has no parking. I didn’t have hot water for the first two days. I requested twice to have them to fix. The third and fifth floor has ice maker but only the one on the fifth is working. Breakfast is not enough. Be cautious they charge more money at time check out
Rooms: Not clean. Slow internet

Room with window overlooking the wall of the building opposite. Clean, but dark and with little air exchange. Kind staff. Poor breakfast, there were only a few sweets, nothing savory, no toast. Excellent location for walking to the city center. Parking is $35 for 24 hours.

Sunday June 30th... Security was acting as a Police Officer directing traffic on the front of Gravier Street...a disabled vehicle was blocking Gravier. Vehicles of course needed to be rerouted .I approached Gravier to get my Uber eats order when I'm yelled at by Security from the Magnolia, you need to have security worry about valet ramp and hotel security. I never knew Hotel Security has jurisdiction on city streets. The impersonation of a police officer is a felony.

I recently stayed at the Magnolia Hotel and was extremely disappointed with my experience. First, the room was not clean upon arrival; there was dust on the furniture and the bathroom had a moldy smell. Despite requesting housekeeping, the cleanliness did not improve during my stay.
Additionally, the service was subpar. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful. When I asked for extra towels, it took hours for them to be delivered, and the front desk staff was often unavailable or inattentive.
The amenities were also lacking. The Wi-Fi was slow and frequently disconnected, making it difficult to get any work done. The breakfast buffet was bad for the limited selection and mediocre quality of the food.
Overall, my stay at Magnolia Hotel was far from enjoyable, and I will not be returning. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
