Was told about by a friend who lives in New Orleans. Found shop in French Quarter and selection of unique items was extensive. From small nicknacks to some larger items I did not explore. I was looking for some gifts to take home and was told of an item I easily found after asking one of the employees about it. I wanted some soup cups with southern style recipies on them, namely jambalaya, red beans and rice and sausage and chicken gumbo. Found them quickly and was happy with their appearance and sturdiness . If I get back to New Orleans again, I will try Very hard to make a trip back here to explore and find something I know I will treasure for a long time.

I bought this soup terrine 36 years ago when the shop was called Lazybug. I was worried about how to get it home but it was shipped to Los Angeles in perfect condition. It's wonderful to see the shop's still open?

On Friday night me and I my friends went shopping. I chose one of the coffee bags that were on the shelf not air vacuumed. I came home today to Virginia, and I found out that it has been switched to an old bag while I was finishing my shopping .The girl who was at the desk switched it to an old one that is air vacuumed and old. I’m so pissed to say the least.

We bought a beautiful hand made oyster platter and it was shipped quickly without any damage! We are glad we chose to do business with Roux Royale and would recommend them to anyone.

So many fun gifts and trinkets. I could browse for hours and not see them all. Always enjoy stopping in here when we are visiting NOLA!

We visited as part of a foodie tour. We were given these little praline butter cookies, that I'm 100% sure were made of heavenly sin....They were melt in your mouth, with the perfect bit of crunch AWESOME!!We loved the included family story of the recipe as well.

There are so many souvenir shops around here. I don’t know if this is the one.
But every family is almost the same and they are all cute

Buyer beware. While I’d agree with all the reviews noting that the products are a step above the usual tourist fare, the customer service response to even a minor issue was appalling. A product had been marked a certain price, and every box on sale showed that price. When I got my receipt I saw a massive discrepancy, charged twice as much as listed. When I pointed this out to them they got upset with me, grabbed all the items, and not only completely refused to even consider honoring the labeled price, but actually seemed close to trying to deny me a refund. In many states this would be illegal, but even if not, it was handled abominably disrespectfully and without any consideration. It was just terrible customer service. Maybe their reliance on tourists makes them not care about customer satisfaction, but it still very much matters. So it’s something any one else visiting should keep in mind, and maybe consider avoiding.

Over priced TOURIST TRAP. The true market value of an item purchased here is about 1/4 of what they ask.
