I love this place! Always have. There are many places near me to by alcohol, but I will go out of my way to come here because I like the ambiance, plus they stock almost everything you want or might want. What really makes Prytania Wine and Spirits special though is - JOSH!! Josh is not only knowledgeable about damn near everything in the store (and he will guide you on the latest and greatest), but his upbeat and kind personality is what will keep you coming back! If I come in and he's not there, I'm sorely disappointed. You will be, too.

My favorite wine and liquor store in the city with the absolute friendliest staff. They will never oversell you, you tell them what you’re looking for and they will give you a wide range of options at a variety of price points. I’m consistently blown away by the knowledge each staff member has of the various wines and spirits in store - including some of the really unique and rare things on the shelves! They know my tastes and have expertly pointed me towards wines and spirits I would never have looked at on my own and that I am now hooked on (Becherovka you saucy bitter!)Obviously as a wine store they have some really special wines, but the liquor selection more than holds up to snuff, especially on the price point front. Go on a Friday and enjoy 10% off all the wine in store! While the beer selection isn’t the largest in the world, it’s stocked with everything you could need from ice cold local brews to a few fancy imports.Also of important note is the balance between a reliable selection of regulars in all categories so you can always buy old reliable if you need to, balanced with the constantly rotating displays of new, unique, or just plain rare spirits and wines. I’ve found rare spirits that I’ve never seen outside of Europe or the Caribbean in the store, and while they usually aren’t permanent additions to the shelving rotation, they give me a reason to always come back because I know there’s a chance I’ll find something even a place like Total Wine can’t get their hands on.This is your friendly neighborhood store where everyone is always happy to help and where I’ll be shopping the rest of my life!

Convenient spot with a good selection of wine and spirits and a knowledgeable staff as well as a cute dog.There is no ramp so is an access issue for those who need help. The selection skews mid to top tier.Will shop again.

This is a great store. High end cabs down to "airline sized" single served portions. Say hi to Bruno the dog.... I'm told he actually owns the place. Way cool
