Big Easy Pet Shop & Rescue Too
839 Spain St, New OrleansGreat staff here! The location is very much shoehorned into a small building but it’s packed with great and unique pet supplies. We visited on a Sunday for a vet checkup for two semi-stray rescue cats. They were very matter of fact yet kind, non judgmental curious and attentive to the cats. It gives the impression of a place that really really cares and loves animals

Bel Air Pet Care
Lower right side, 2905 St Claude Ave, New OrleansFirst time customer and we will definitely be back! My Sim is a 7 year old special needs Shih Tzu. He's a rescue who has been groomed under sedation since he was rescued and he's also blind. After years of sedated grooms that were starting to affect him we reached out to see if they were willing to try grooming him without sedation (he was sedated due to his reactions when they groomed certain areas). They said they would give it try and they were successful! They have tricks to deal with little quirks and the treats I brought with him didn't hurt the situation. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a special needs or older animal to them for grooming as they took great care in grooming my dog that was previously classified as being too reactive to be groomed while awake. He was very happy when I picked him up and even had a cute little bandana on.

1809 Magazine St, New OrleansMy partner and I recently moved from Los Angeles to Nola and needed to establish care for our senior cat, Oliver. I am so grateful we found the Cat Practice in Nola. Dr. Dodson and her team were so kind and patient! As an anxious cat parent with high expectations for his care, the Cat Practice really put my mind at ease. I can’t say enough thanks to Dr. Dodson and my vet tech, Ms. Tabitha, for being so kind and working so well with Oliver. Having a clinic dedicated to just cats truly makes a huge difference. Canis Integrated Behavior Solutions
3666 Clematis St, New OrleansKC has helped with our dog being aggressive with my husband and we saw HUGE changes in the first visit! Our pup was cuddling between us by the end of the first visit, when previously she would growl and try to bite him when I am in the room. My only regret is not starting this when we got her seven years ago. He has taught us how to change our approach and body language and it has made all the difference. I highly recommend KC Singleton!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Atchafalaya
901 Louisiana Ave, New OrleansExtremely great service by our waiter (funny and described food with great detail). Atchafalaya is one of the top spots I recommend visitors coming to NOLA who want to try elevated Creole/Cajun food. Pork Chops were perfect medium and collard greens is a nice pairing. Shrimp and Grits are rich and flavor full with bits of of sausage throughout. For dessert, try the Pistachio Dark Chocolate Cheesecake- the pistachio flavor pairs wells with the dark chocolate . The Bread Pudding is light - does not have a heavy rum flavor or has the rich sauce some traditional local bread puddings have in New Orleans. This place is a great spot for brunch or dinner

Two Chicks Café - CBD
920 Gravier St, New OrleansThe love of my life found this great spot today, and we decided to give it a shot! This is a cozy restaurant with welcoming staff and excellent food. We had the chicken club and the Cajun sando. Both were delicious and came with an optional side of potatoes. We thought these were roasted but disappointed to have our impression differ from our reality. We would easily return and get a different side and be just as content.

Barracuda Taco Stand
446 Pelican Ave, New OrleansI bara-could-ah eat here every day. The crispy fish tacos were swimmingly delightful, the beef was a-mooooo-zing, the chicken one made me cluck for joy, the mushroom taco didn't leave mush-room for fault, and the house made tortillas made me do a little dancey dance. The atmosphere is incredible as it twirls with music and bright benches in an outdoor area that accepts dogs, and even provides bags and water for them.

Hansen's Sno-Bliz
4801 Tchoupitoulas St, New OrleansOne of the best sno-balls I’ve had in my life. Limited parking options and no picnic tables is my only gripe.
Syrups they use are natural tasting, don’t have gross artificial aftertaste, like some other sno-ball stands, consistency of the sno-balls are very good.
Get a sno-ball with condensed milk on top, and ice cream in the inside. Some of the first sno-balls were just condensed milk.

Li'l Dizzy's Cafe
1500 Esplanade Ave, New OrleansI encountered Lil Dizzy's cafe through social media and opted to try it out today. Upon arrival, a line of patrons awaited ordering, prompting me to choose take-out to avoid the 45-minute seating wait. Fortunately, my order was prepared fairly quick. The fried chicken was exceptionally hot, fresh, well-seasoned, and outstanding. However, the accompanying sides - greens, mac and cheese, and dirty rice - were merely satisfactory, as I have experienced better. The chicken did not disappoint, ⭐️ 10/10 for the chicken only.
