We had an opportunity to shop at Perlis (Magazine St.) last month and our experience was quite delightful. We had the pleasure of working with a saleswoman named Linda and after working with her a new tradition was born for my son. We will definitely purchase all our special occasions clothes from Perlis. Linda was absolutely amazing, she was knowledgeable about attire for boys, and her service was so stellar that she easily won me over as a repeat customer. However, in addition to her service it was the quality of the clothing that definitely impacted my decision to return. My son played the violin on the night of his moving up ceremony and the jacket and tie that he wore looked absolutely amazing. I am truly thrilled that I had an opportunity to work with Linda, discover the uniqueness of Perlis, and watch my son perform in a tie and jacket that looked simply stunning. Thanks again for wonderful service and I truly understand why Perlis has been a Louisiana tradition since 1939.

Cajun Clothing Co. is located in the Jax Brewery complex and is a higher end men and women's shop. They carry companies like Southern Tide, Smathers & Branson etc. and have collegiate items of all type. They have a very nice women's line and many unique clothing and accessory items.

They carry all the cute stuff - vineyard vines, southern proper, southern marsh, southern tide, Ralph Lauren, etc. can't go wrong.

Adorable crawfish logo clothing can be found here at Cajun Clothing Co by Perlis For such a small shop, they have a wide range for men, women & kids - from polo shirts to t-shirts to buttondown shirts & they even have pants & shorts w/ crawfish all over them.....just like the preppy pants I wore in school back in the 80s! Also saw a bunch of LSU themed stuff but we were there for the crawfish The Mr got 2 polos & the sales person advised us they supposedly will shrink quite a bit but we couldn't resolve ourselves to getting the next size up since the Mr was swimming in it.......so best just to wash only & hang dry There was a Mom & Son in there at the same time, who also opted for the size that fit as opposed to the larger size.....just hope we all don't get burned by not listening to the experts here! But worst case scenario, it'll just mean that *I* will have cute crawfish polo shirts to wear! :-) We made a 2nd visit here on our last day to purchase this awesome Fleur De Lis shirt - it was a nice button down w/ gold-embroidered fleur de lis For fancy-casual wares that have a bit of whimsy & look / feel great, it doesn't get any better than Perlis!
