I wish I could give it zero stars.... The nurses were off they had no one at the front desk no one's wait to greet you the most unpol together hospital I've ever been to my entire life. I don't know why I even have nurses there because they don't do their jobs It's just a bunch of women sitting there looking at their phones the whole time because I look in the back of the the doors now they were doing playing on their phone while patients are waiting in the lobby waiting to be seen The most uncouth hospital I've ever been to my entire life..

HORRIBLE SERVICE…. If you are ill go to University Hospital because New Orleans East needs executive overseers to help run this dysfunctional facility!!!! I wouldn’t bring my pet here to save it’s life.

This place deserves 0 stars. The staff is horrible especially the night shift I was in a hospital room for 4 hours on fluids for abdominal pain . No ct scans , ultra sound , they didn’t do nothing I wouldn’t bring a snail to this hospital.

I am writing this review on New Orleans East Hospital. My husband was scheduled for a routine out patient procedure with Dr. Khan.He was told to arrive at the hospital at 7 am on September 19, 2023. The checkin process on the first floor went well but the wait time before the procedure was totally unacceptable. We were instructed to go to the 3rd floor to check in. The waiting room was crowded with patients & also family members. When we got to the 3rd floor, no one was there to greet us.( no sign instructing us on where to go) A random person waiting , let us know that the person at the desk should be back shortly. When she returned, my husband checked in with her and we were instructed to have a seat. We waited in the waiting room for 3 hours before my husband’s name was called to go to the room to get prepped for his procedure. I went to the desk several times during this 3 hour period to try to get information on why it was taking so long and couldn’t get a reasonable explanation. It is totally unacceptable to have a patient wait for 3 hours, especially when the patient has been without food or water since the day before to prep for this procedure. When my husband was finally called, I wasn’t allowed to go check on him or say words of encouragement before his procedure began.I went back to the first floor and asked to speak to someone in charge to voice my concerns. The supervisor, I can’t recall her name, listened carefully to my concerns and walked with me upstairs to try to understand why the wait was 3 hours before being seen. I was told that Dr. Khan has his patients scheduled in groups, and he had 16 patients scheduled that morning. My husband was the 16th patient. This is totally unacceptable to Instruct a patient to check in for a procedure for 7am and not get seen until 10am!!!On a final note, we live in New Orleans East and should not have to go across town to get better service. My husband chose this hospital for convenience but nothing about this hospital is convenient. If New Orleans East Hospital wants to attract more patients, changes must be made. It is very frustrating to think we have to pass up the hospital five minutes from our house to get better service across town. Again, New Orleans East Hospital must do better!I hope this review is read by the powers that be and changes are made. I would love to support my neighborhood hospital in the future.

Chances are I wouldn't bring a pet here. The services suck. Bad attitudes. Here now as we speak. If my daughter didn't have an appointment I would've walked out. Been here going on 2 hours and still not seen. 2nd floor ultrasound. Never again.

I am really working on being more patient, but this hospital is a disgrace and will test your patience. Their emergency room staff, specifically at the check in desk is rude, angry and obviously don’t want to be here. On her phone, keep hiding in the back and just flat out rude. To top it off 2 people in the eating room, but been here 1 and a half hours and nobody being discharged. Won’t ever come here again and trying real hard not to leave. Don’t come here! It hasn’t gotten better since the last time it closed down.

Arrived at New Orleans East Hospital trying to find out where the Acadian ambulance service sent my elderly mother. Instead, they bought her to a different hospital. We told them to bring her to New Orleans East Hospital, where she normally go. But they didn't .. in a panic, trying to find her the only two people was very helpful. The guard young man was very polite on the evening shift called to find out and gave me directions where to go. Mrs Denise @ patient registration on the 1st floor, even when she called around and checked different hospitals while I called the Acadian ambulance back that when we found me elderly mother. She rerouted her to Tulane Hospital and Mrs. Denise called to check so I wouldn't panic anymore.. she made sure they had her there and got the room number for me. I really do thank those to people for showing and going the extra mile.. thank you, Mrs Denise, and the guard who was on duty. Sorry, i forgot the young man name. But I will find out .. there's still some hope in New Orleans East...

Worst hospital in the predominantly black city of New Orleans that caters only to white patients. If you’re looking for medical attention and you’re black trying to survive this would not be the ideal facility. They’re very cruel and racist

The overnight shift is trash no one wants work. Was in the ER with someone since 11pm and the time is now past 4am an just got to the back. The excuse was were waiting for clean beds. The waiting room had 5 ppl in it the whole time while at least 8 ppl left hours beforehand. They were simply on their phones doing nothing. The quality of health care here is ridiculous the Facility is shiny and new but the staff is horrible. I would not recommend to anyone to go here. Needs to under new management ASAP!!!! They simply just don't care an it definitely shows on the health care you receive.

WORST ER EVER. CAME IN FOR CHEST pain with my child and sat in the waiting room because the triage nurse decided to diagnosis my child with flu symptoms after I told her we ruled OUT FLU AND COVID by doing home test, which were both NEGATIVE. HAD TO GET TRIAGE AGAIN POLICY IS AFTER TWO HOURS ANOTHER TRIAGE. BP IS HIGHER THAN PREVIOUS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE reading when we first triaged AND HAD TO ASK THEM TO DO AN EKG, dUE to family history OF CHF. WE HAD PUT THE PROPER DIAGNOSIS ON HER CHART, which prompt them to get an EKG, which happened to be normal. I am satisfied and will leave this horrible ER, who left a lady throwing up in the waiting room full of people for two hours. She started throwing up again and the finally came to get her, then expected her get up without help. It was so sad and I was tempted to help her, but didn’t know her symptoms and didn’t want to catch anything. I’m was getting upset they left her out here like that for 3 hours. Don’t waste your time coming here, the staff needs to be monitored for how they triage patients and typing correct information and NOT what they think. I’m disgusted with this service and will report it to someone who can change this process. Ugh!!!!
